It's only been two days since my mom got into that car accident and died. I was a mess, and I didn't know what to do anymore, and I haven't gone to school either. I felt broken. The only thing I felt like doing was crying.

Jisung and I have to move into our aunt and uncle's house, which did make me feel a bit relieved, but my heart was still longing for my mother.

"Alright. You go on inside. I'm going to the store to pick up some snacks."

"Okay. Bye mom."

I got out of the car, and headed inside as mom pulled back out of the driveway. As I closed the front door, I jumped a bit because my phone started ringing. I quickly pulled it out of my pocket and looked at the name on the screen.

'An unknown caller.' I thought to myself as I was a bit hesitant to answer the call. I slid my finger across the green part of the screen, and held it up to my ear.

"Hel-"

"Wait for me."

I was cut off, and a bit surprised by what this man said.

"What?" There was no use in saying that because he already hung up.

'Who even was that?'

I put my phone back into my pocket, and walked over to the fridge, opening it, and observing the drink options.

"(Y/N)! Can you get me a YooHoo please!" Jisung was shouting from the living room while staring straight at the television.

"Sure!" I shouted back at him.

I looked around carefully, trying to lay eyes on a YooHoo, but I guess they were all gone.

"Jisung-ah! There are no more! Is there something else you would want?" Jisung then walked into the kitchen, and pushed me aside to look into the fridge.

"Aw. I really wanted a YooHoo."

"Mom is at the store, so I'll call her."

I pulled that phone back out of my pocket, and pressed the "call" button on mom's phone number. I waited for a while, and she still didn't pick up. I kept waiting until the phone finally told me that she was "unavailable."

"Jisung-ah. She won't answer. Just pick something else, okay?" He nodded even though he was obviously upset. I could tell from his pouty-face.

I put my phone into my pocket, once again, and pulled out a water bottle from the fridge.

"I'm not thirst anymore." Jisung said as he walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room.

I just shrugged, and took the water for myself. I then went into the living room with Jisung and sat on the couch, next to Jisung.

About 30 minutes had passed, and I had drank all of my water. The movie Jisung had been watching all this time was almost over. I could feel my phone vibrating under my butt (lol), so I pulled it out from under me, and looked at the screen.

'Finally, I was wondering why it's taking her so long.' I thought to myself as I answered the call.

"Hey mom."

"Are you the patient's daughter?" The words those woman spat out made my heart stop for a second.

"I-I am her daugher, but w-what do you mean b-by "patient?""

"Okay. Please come to the local hospital. You're mother got into an accident."

With that, I immediately ended the call, and stood up with tearful eyes. I was shaking a bit, and I was very terrified of what I was going to hear from the doctors.

"What's wrong?" My sweet little brother was clueless. I just grabbed his hand, and looked him in the eyes.

"I have to visit a place for a little while. Can you stay here by yourself, and be a good boy?" I gave him a reassuring smile, even if it was fake.

"Of course I can! Don't you worry about me!"

I hugged him, and then walked out of the front door. As soon as I shut that door, tears escaped my eyes, and I began running. I ran and ran and ran. Since my neighborhood was in the city, the hospital was pretty close, so I didn't need to take a bus or a taxi.

When I arrived at the hospital, I was shaking quite a bit as I opened the doors. I looked like a nervous wreck as some more tears fell from my eyes.

I ran over to the lady at the desk.

"Where is the woman named Kim Sanghee?" Even my voice was shaky.

The lady pointed over to my left. "Take a left over there. There is an office in that area, and a doctor will talk to you." She then looked back at her computer screen, as I went where she told me to go.

"I'm so sorry. She didn't make it. She lost too much blood too fast." I felt my world fall apart. My heart felt like it was just stung by a needle, and my head was being flooded with thoughts.

'My mom. How can she just go away like that? I never told her how much she really meant to me. What am I going to do? What am I going to tell Jisung? How am I going to live?'

'I now have no parents.'
