My world came spinning down. He kicked me again in the stomach. I got up and ran outside. I called toby, in a second he picked up. "Hey There Delilah." "Hey erm do you think it'll be cool if I came over? Roberts being a jerk and my mom and brother aren't home for the night." "I'll ask." He left and came back a few seconds later. "My mom would love to have you!" Toby laughed. "I'll be over in a sec! Bye" "bye Delilah." I texted Devin telling him I'll be at Toby's.

I sent that then walked into the house. I couldn't see Robert so I ran upstairs. I walked right into him. "What are you doing missy?" he said with a smirk beer was in his breath. I ran before he could catch me. I got out the door and ran smack into Toby. "Why do I always run into you?!?" I said. "I don't know. But atleast we always land on the grass. What was happening in there?" toby asked. I gulped "Robert is drunk and he's being an ass so I ran away from him. I don't have any clothes but I'm ready I guess..." I said. Toby smiled,"come on. I think I may have something you can use." I smiled back at him and we walked over.

*Tobys pov*

I was walking with Delilah when she graves my hand. I liked down then smiled. "Why do you always smile when I hold your hand?" Delilah asked. "You'll make fun of me if I tell you." "No I won't. I pinky promise!" she held out her pinky and I took hers in mine. I felt sparks again. "Well, I um I l-l-like y-y-y-ou a l-lot Delilah." I stuttered out. She looked at me in amazement. "Toby." She looked at me. I started to worry. She looked at me and smiled. "I like you too." she whispered to me. I smiled and started blushing. "Well then, ready to go to my house?" I asked Delilah. "Yeah" she said with a smile.

"WHY ARE YOU SO MAD AT ME? I DONT WBEN KNOW WHAT I DID!" My mom screamed. "Mom stop screaming. I'm just saying that I want to take Delilah and move into a small apartment IN Orlando NEAR Roberts house. I just feel it would be better for Delilah." I said in a hushed tone. "No. Nobody's taking anybody to a apartment. Delilah's staying with me." My mom said. I just rolled my eyes. "Don't you want what's best for Delilah. Because moving with me IS the best for her. Not living with You and ROBERT. He's always drunk mom. You can come with us but Robert will be mad." I told her in a caring tone. "No way, no how are you taking Delilah." My mom said in a aggressive tone. I walked to the door with me bag. "I don't need your permission anymore." The last thing I heard was my mom screaming my name and crying. I just kept walking. Time to move into the apartment and get custody of my baby sister.

*Delilah's pov*

"This is a lovely home Miss Joan!" I said. This is the first time I've been farther inside the house than the door. The walls were all white and cream. It was lovely and super clean. "Aww your too sweet Delilah. Toby show her to your room." She smiled at Toby. He nodded his head and took me upstairs. He sat on the ground and i looked at him and he looked at me. "May I ask why your sitting on the ground Toby?" I asked. "You get the bed I sleep on the floor." He said truthfully. "I AM NOT TAKING YOUR BED TOBY JAMES MCDONOUGH." I said in a funny scream tone. He laughed "Where else do you expect me to sleep?" He said as I layed in the middle of the bed. "Right here next to me." I said with a smile. He got up and laid down next to me. He moved the hair out of my face and was about to kiss my cheek when he was interrupted "dinner is ready. Wait woah. Why do I always walk in on y'all about to kiss." He laughed and we all laughed. He walked away. He reached his hand out to help me up. i took it and got up. "Your bed is soo comfortable Toby." He smiled and laughed. "Oh I know." He said. "so you exited for school Delilah?" Miss Joan asked. Crap I forgot school starts in 4 days. "Ermm not really. I don't know anyone there. But my brothers a senior this year and were really close so I'll probably stick with him. We have some of the same classes. Like art and band so we'll stick together most likely." I said with a smile. "What instrument do you play? Because band at Hickory Hills High includes guitar and drums." Toby asked. "I'm gonna play guitar for the band. He watched my audition video and accepted me." I said. They all looked at me. "What song did you play?" Connor asked. "I played two songs actually. The first was on electric guitar, I played Dance Dance by Fall Out Boy and my brother and I sang. And then I played one of your guys songs actually. I played Soldier on acoustic guitar and sang." I smiled. "Wait you can sing?" The boys said all together. "I don't think I can. But others say I can." I said with a embarrassed look on my face. "After dinner sing for us!" miss Joan said happily. "Okay. But I don't have a acoustic guitar." I said sadly. "You can use mine. I have like 3." Toby said with a smile. "Okay. Miss Joan this dinner is wonderful!" I said with a smile. It really was good. "Thanks Delilah. Your too sweet." Miss Joan said.
