It had been weeks since the incident at the ice cream shop, and the press had finally calmed down on their speculation regarding who the lady in the coat had been. The newspeople had moved on to more fresh news, like which football team was gonna win the world cup.

Tony and Loki had been working on Loki's problem every day, but with no progress. Or so it seemed. Because Tony had actually begun to get an idea on what the real reason to Loki's change of appearance was. You see, everything they tried failed, and there seemed to be no logical explanation as to why Loki couldn't change back. So, Tony had begun to suspect it might not be something physical, but rather something psycological. He even talked to Thor about it, and he asked the god of thunder to tell him about the frost giants, and if there was something he should know about Loki's time growing up. Thor told him how the asgardians always looked down upon the frost giants, and how Loki always had been different and a bit strange. How he favoured magic and tricks instead of fists while in a fight. And even though Thor didn't exactly say that Loki had been in Thor's shadow his whole life, Tony pretty much figured that out by himseld.

It was late one afternoon, and Tony and Loki were still in the lab. Loki sat at the working bench and looked arrogant, while Tony wrote something down in a small, black notebook. He debated with himself, wondering if this was the right time.

"Eh, screw it."  he thought, and turned to face the blue god.

"So, my blue, cold gentleman." he said, wit a smug expression on his face.

Loki raised his eyebrows, and looked at the short man. "Gentleman?"

"I assumed, based on your royal heritage, that that wasn't a false title."

Loki stayed silent, but had an amused glimt in his eyes.

"Anyway, we have been down here for months now, and yet we haven't found a cure to your little problem."

"That was very well spotted of you, Stark. You are truly a genius." mocked Loki.

"Yeah yeah, I know. But you know, I've wondered why that is for quite some time now, and I think I have come to a conclusion."

"Oh? And what would that be?"

"That you, mr prince, does not want to be cured." stated Tony, and waited for a respons. He got none. At first. Loki just stared at him, and it was like you could see his thoughts swirling in his eyes.

"That is ridiculous. Why wouldn't I want to be cured?"

"Because you are right now in a rather comfortable  situation. You have a soft, nice bed, free food, free internet, which I know you enjoy so don't try to deny it, access to all the technology in the tower, and, most of all, ypu are away from your family."

Tony leaned against the wall to his left, and crossed his arms infront of his chest. He searched Loki's face for a glimpse of emotion, and he immediately noticed when Loki's expression went from amused to angry.

"Excuse me?" asked Loki. "What would you mean by that? Away from my family? Are you accusing me of something?"

"Not exactly you, more like I'm accusing them."

"And would that accusation be, if  I may ask?" sneered Loki, and finally jumped down from the bench.

"Only the fact that they have, all your life, apparently showed much more interest in Thor, and especially your dad always favoured him over you. This also goes for the people of Asgard, who always thought you were werid and they were not afraid to point that out to each other. You were always made fun of for you magic, and called unmanly because you weren't build like a brick shithouse, like the rest of them."

Loki was almost shaking, but Tony went on.

"You have never been considered for the throne, because your father knows that the people wouldn't accept you, even if you're qualified. You've never had many friends, because people often tend to ignore your entire existence, and you have gotten so used to being teased by Thor's older friends that you no longer care, and you..."

Suddenly, Loki decided that he'd had enough. With three long steps he reached Tony and slammed the shorter one against the wall. His hands were on Tony's waist, and if it hadn't been for his leather jacket, then Tony's skin would be burnt heavily. Loki's red eyes were filled with rage, and he barred his teeth.

"If you say one more word...I swear to Yggdrasil that I will end you." he growled in a low voice.

"So is it true?" Tony really didn't know when to stop.

"Is what true?"

"The reason as to why you can't change back is because you don't want to?"

Loki's POV

This mortal really was a smart one, wasn't he? Loki thought, as he stared into Tony's brown eyes. But the billionaire was far to smug for his own best.

"Well, aren't you a clever one." Loki's voice were filled with venom. How dared this mere mortal speak to him that way? It didn't matter if he was right or wrong, a mortal could still not speak to a god that way.

"I'm not called a genius for nothing. And I take that as a yes?"

"Yes. You are right. I am fully capable of changing back to my aesir appearance whenever I want. I've known that for quite some time now. I mean, I am after all an incredibly talented sorcerer." Loki thought about his opptions. One, he could slash Stark's throat, leave the tower and hopefully make it on his own without being captured and taken back to Asgard by Thor. Or two, he could tell the truth, stay in the tower and keep on enjoying himself with all the luxury in the world.

"So why haven't you?" Stark looked at him.

You haven't figured that out yet? "Isn't that obvious? You said it yourself. With you, here in this world, I have access to things not available on Asgard, and I get them for free. So, after Thor insisted on bringing me here, I thought that I might as well stay for a while."

"Oh yeah? So you just thought that I would give you food, share my bed and my house with you, without wanting something in return?" Tony still had that smug look on his face, and Loki suddenly became very aware of their position. Because, his hands were still on Stark's hips, Stark's back was still pressed against the wall, and the smaller man's hands had suddenly began to move upwards against Loki's chest. Loki didn't try to stop him, instead he just asked:

"And what would you want in return?" But Tony did not answer him, not with words. Instead, he just gripped the much taller man by the neck, pulled his face down, and pressed his lips against Loki's. Loki's eyes grew big at first, but then he hardened his gripp on the mortal's hips and pulled his body closer. He pushed him even harder against the wall, as their lips moved against each other. Tony's fingers gripped onto Loki's hair, and pulled. And then, he all of a sudden removed his lips. Loki looked at him, but he still had the mortal pressed against the wall.

"That", said Stark, "is what I want in return."

Loki looked down at the tiny mortal. He was a rather attractive man,and he had proven himself to be both intelligent and to have a sharp tongue. Maybe his time on earth would end up as even more enjoyable than Loki first thought.

"I think I can manage that." he said, and crashed his lips against Tony's again.

AN/And there's that! I think this is the end of this particular fic, and that I will go back to oneshots now. But that doesn't mean I wont make a oneshot that is based upon this fic! Until next time.
