Demi

They all stood there staring at me. The air was tight, and it felt as if it was impossible to swallow. I turned around slowly to face my next obstacle. Dallas stood there, arms crossed, and eyes narrowed.

"Can you guys excuse us for a moment?" I gestured towards Sam and my parents.

My mom grabbed Sam's hand and they left the room. Dallas glided over and took her seat where my parents were before. I sat down slowly across from her. I pretended to fix my clothes, so that I can buy some time. Dallas cleared her throat loudly, grabbing my attention. I could feel her eyes burning through my skin.

"So?" she questioned

I laughed nervously then wiped my now sweaty hands on my pants. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I softly played the words, I can do this, in my mind over and over again.

"How have you been?" I asked nervously

"I could be better, but I'm fine." she rolled her eyes

"Are you still mad at me?" I asked

She took a deep breath, then crossed her arms. She then laid back in that giant white laced throne like chair. Her face slowly contorted, showing signs of anger.

"Should I be mad at you Demetria?" she halved asked

"No, because I didn't do anything wrong."

"So you didn't cause me to not talk to my best friend of almost eighteen years?'' she asked sarcastically

"I had nothing to do with that, you fucked up and she came to me." I spatted

She was causing me to get angry.

"So that's what you do now Demi? Wait for somebody to mess up then try to take their place? Well let me tell you something little sis; Summer is my friend and whatever you have going on with her needs to end now. "

"Why?" I yelled

"Because you don't know her, Demi. You just came into her life, what, a month ago? I was there for her all these years, not you. You have Marissa and Selena, hell you have like fifteen best friends; pick one of those and move on!" she yelled back

"She loves me!" I screamed in the heat of the moment.

I looked at Dallas as she stood there in total shock. I ran my fingers through my hair.

Dallas stood up and stared at me intently, not blinking.

"Your demented. Leave her alone." her voice was quiet but stern.

She left the room and walked upstairs. I flopped on the couch and began to cry softly. This is so fucked up I thought to myself. That just only made the situation worse. Not only does she think I'm like some psychotic fucked up bitch that is obsessing over her best friend; I didn't even get to tell her the truth. She is so pertinacious, I swear.  After a few minutes of pitying myself, I walk into the kitchen. It was completely unoccupied. I then followed the trail of small whispers into the dinning room. Summer sat there with my mother. My mom held Summer's hands but then released and silenced herself as I walked into the room. Summer jumped up and embraced me.

"I heard you guys, I'm so sorry." she cried

"Its not your fault." I replied firmly .

Suddenly, she released her comforting clasp and stared at me.  I looked over at my mom, who then got the gesticulation and left.

"What happened?" she asked softly then looked over my shoulder to make sure the ghost was clear.

I grabbed her hand and led us back to the table.

"She thinks I'm obsessing over you." I bowed my head

"You didn't tell her we were together." she asked surprised

"No, I couldn't she wouldn't shut up." I said voice slightly firmer

"Calm down. It doesn't have to be today okay. Ill just talk to her tomorrow." she replied reassuringly

"No, she needs to hear it from me." I raised my head

"And you can tell her babe. Just let me butter her up first." she smiled

"Okay." I smiled softly

Summer

A few hours later,

We sit in a dimly lit restaurant. Demi still hasn't fully recovered from what happened a few hours prior. A distraught look is still plastered on her face. She is snuggled up next to me, but her hands remain in her lap. I move my hand over and grab hers. She looks up at me, " Relax. Stop being so tense." I beg. For the first time, I am actually comforting her. It usually is the other way around.

"Its just so fucking unnecessary." she said angrily

"Not everyone is so accepting."

"She's my fucking sister Sam, I would have done the same thing for her. She's just  in denial about everything."

The waiter came and placed our food on the table.

"That's why I need to talk to her first. Its only going to work that way.''

She sighed heavily, I guess not really liking my current plan.

"This food is shit, can we leave?' she asked annoyed

"We just got here, Lovato." I mocked

"Why did you call me Lovato." she questioned

"Because your acting like a pinhead, your the one that said this was one of your favorite restaurants."

She didn't responded but I noticed her staring at something or should I say someone.

I noticed a dark haired man sitting at a table across from us. He wore a dark trench coat and dark eyes. He looked up and I immediately  recognized the dark goatee. A smile escaped his face as he stared intently at Demi. I looked over at her who was nervously looking at me then him.

"Can we please go, like now." she begged nervously

"Is that who I think it is? I laugh

She turns and looks at me eyes narrowed.

Oh Shit!
