Deanna's pov
I woke up and changed into black skinny jeans and a gray v-neck. Liz and Patrick were still asleep. I smiled before taking a picture of them. Liz had her head on Trick's chest and he had his arms wrapped around her waist.
The zipper on my bag made the zipping noise as I made sure I had everything. I also made sure I had my back pack. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a water bottle. I glanced out the window and I saw Pete sitting in the drive way. I set my back down and slipped outside; barely making any noise.
I sat down next to Pete smiling, "The sun rise is always amazing from this view." He nodded and whispered,
"You going to school?"
I shook my head saying, "Nah."
He turned to face me cocking his head to the right smiling, "Then I wanna show you something. Go get your stuff. I'll text Patrick when they wake up." I nodded and smiled. He stood up and offered me a hand. I took it and he pulled me up. A laugh escaped me as we raced inside. We acted like ninja's as we grabbed our stuff. But it wasn't really working. I kept bumping into stuff and cursing while Pete laughed at me. I'm amazed that Trick and Liz stayed asleep.
As soon as we were outside Pete picked me up and carried me to his car. He put me in the passenger seat and raced around throwing our stuff in the trunk before getting in the driver's seat. He started the car and put on his seat belt smiling,
"Time to go get the best chocolate milk shakes in the world!"
"Yeah no. I make the best chocolate milk shakes. But I guess I'm game to meet my competition," I smirked. Pete rolled his eyes and punched on the radio.
Dammit by Blink-182 started playing and me and Pete started singing along.

After a 20 minute drive we pulled up to a small old diner. It was white with black letters. Pete raced out and I laughed and followed him. He was acting like a little kid. He held the door for me. It was amazing inside. The booths were red and the tables polished black granite. And there were dark cherry wood floors. The door shut behind Pete and I jumped as he yelled,
"Hey Joe and Andy! Where are you?"
"In the back!" a voice replied. Pete grabbed my hand and jumped the counter. I laughed and mimicked him. He pulled me through a hallway to a back room. The door was shut and Pete opened it dragging me inside. He let go of my hand and bro-hugged a guy with short curly brown hair, and a guy with medium length brown hair. Pete put an arm around each of their shoulders saying,
"Deanna meet Joe and Andy. My best friends. Well beside Sophomore Stump."
I made a confused face before saying, "Patrick's a senior like us."
"Yup. But sophomore sounds better then senior," Pete smiled.
The guy with short hair shook my hand saying, "I'm Joe."
The other shook my hand and smiled, "Andy."
I did a bow thingy saying, "Deanna. Nice to meet you guys."
Pete disappeared for a few minutes before coming back with a tray of chocolate milk shakes. He handed me one smiling,
"Prepare to get your mind blown."
I shook my head and took a sip.
------------------------------
A couple hours later the door opened and Patrick walked in with Elizabeth who looked nervous. Joe and Andy started talking to Patrick and Elizabeth. Patrick walked over and boxed Pete's ear. Pete stood up leaning his head to the side exclaiming,
"Ow! What the hell!?"
Patrick let go of his ear saying, "One you disappeared on us again. And two you promised your parents you'd stop ditching. You're this close to being sent to boot camp!" Pete made a face saying,
"Sorry mom."
Trick went to punch his bicep but he spun out of the way. But he fell into a chair and fell over it. I laughed and looked at Pete on the floor asking,
"You okay bra?"
He groaned before looking at me with an amused expression asking, "Did you call me bra?"
I nodded and he chuckled and sat up saying, "Ehh yeah. just sore from soccer practice. Falling didn't help."
His hand grasped my extended one and I smiled before pulling him up.
