I follow Jack timidly, aware of everything and everyone around me. Every sound of utensils against the plates, every whisper. I'm aware of every movement around me, making my already stiff body tense up even more.

Jack looks back at me as we approach a booth, probably to make sure I'm still there. I stiffly take a seat opposite to him as a waitress who saw us enter approaches us, two menus in hand.

"Hi. I'm Tammy, I'll be your waitress for today, what can I start you off with?" She asks, leaning over to put our menus down. Her eyes glued on Jack the whole time, her smile flirtatious. Oh my gosh! I'm invisible! Maybe for the best.

She pulls out her small notepad, her pen poised and ready. Jack looks at me.

"What do you want Viv?"

I stomp on his foot under the table, his lips thin and his eyes turn to ice but he makes no sound or comment.

"Water. Water is fine." My voice comes out barely above a whisper.

He looks at Tammy. "I'll have a sweet tea."

Her smile widens even more, and her eyes gleam with adoration. Wow, really? He's not freaking Jensen Ackles. Cause if he was, by lord! I wouldn't be here with him, we would definitely not be here.

As soon as Tammy is out of earshot Jack speaks. "What was that for?"

"Saying my name." I snap. "They know my name!"

"I didn't say your full name. Anyways they don't seem to know you as well as you thought they did, so far no one has recognized you." He points out.

I notice that ... he does have a point. No one has recognized me... yet.

"Yet," I speak my last thought aloud.

He shakes his head. "All is fine."

I stay silent and look out the window. Tammy comes back with our drinks.

"Have you figured out what you're going to eat yet?" She asks in that overly chirpy voice.

"We're gonna take our food to-go but, I'll have the stuffed french toast, strawberries for the topping." Jack finishes and looks at me.

"Ill, uh, I'll have the biscuits and gravy with, uhm, some french toast on the side." She nods, writing down my order, her eyes always wandering to Jack.

"You sure you wanna take it to-go hun?" She asks maybe hoping that Jack will change his mind, and what is up with that. Hun? Ugh, please, I sense desperate vibes.

"We're sure." Jake simply states, immune to her attempts to flirt.

She just smiles and collects our menus before walking off.

We sit there in comfortable silence, a bell rings above the door and an older couple walks in. They have the whole grandparents vibe. Sweet looking. Cute relationship.

Our waitress starts heading our way with our stuff in the to-go boxes, and she sees the couple, stopping to greet them.

"Mr. and Mrs. Grant. Good to see you today."

The world seems to freeze around me and I don't hear their conversation anymore. Jack notices me tense up and I look at him with wide eyes.

All the sudden the faces do seem a little familiar to me.

"What. Viv. Snap out of it." Jack demands quietly.

I open my mouth and look to gather my stuff. "That's my mom's parents. Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot!"

He looks at me then at them. "Okay?"

"I'm not explaining this to you! We need to go! Before they see me!" I grab my jacket and pull the hood up over my head. "You go get the food and pay while I escape."

Before he could say a word I make my way out of the back exit and stand by the car. As I wait for him to pay and come out, it starts to sprinkle. A clap of thunder causes me to jump, then the sky opens up and it begins to pour!

"Great just great!" I yell into the stormy sky.

By the time Jack runs outside, I'm already soaked. I glare at him as he comes up to me, eyeing my dripping, shivering form.

"You are not getting into my baby dripping wet like that."

My eyes narrow. "Then what the bloody hell do you expect me to freaking do?! Just magically dry myself?"

"Yeah."

I growl. "With what? Pray, do tell. With what!"

Before he get's just as wet as me he gets into the car and I let out a frustrated scream, that no one could really hear over the clap of thunder.

Then the door on my side of the car pops open and I hurriedly get in.

"Careful don't move the towel!"

I then notice the aforementioned towel, placed carefully to protect his seats.

"Fine!" I hop in and close the door shivering. Jack turns up the heat and drives off back to the North side.
