The drive to his place was a quiet one, he was farther out than I thought he would be, a little deeper into the city, but closer to the school.
I had also finally stopped shivering, my clothes still wet, clinging to my skin, but the heater's air helped. Jack didn't say one thing about the whole fiasco back there, but I can see the whole calculating-gear-grinding thing going on inside of his head. Like he's trying to figure me out, figure everything out about me.
Not like he's going to get anything out of me if he tried.
We finally pull in, the building standing tall, elegant, and huge. "You... live here?" I ask hesitantly.
"Yeah, why? Expected something different?"
"Ye- I mean no, but this place looks huge and- and expensive." I scrunch my nose in confusion.
"The whole thing isn't mine, it's a condo complex. All of us boys have the whole place to ourselves as a whole but we have our own places." He explains.
"Uh-hu, is that even supposed to make sense?" I question still confused.
He huffs, as we get out of the car and head inside, where in the lobby the door guy greets us with a nod. "Afternoon Mr. Howster. I see you have company, do you need anything?"
Jack shakes his head. "Just alert the others that were here. Also this is-"
I cut him off, I can introduce myself. "Vivianna Morrison." I grace him with a smile.
Jack continues. "And she is going to be here with us until further notice, she has access to go up when you see her."
The guy nods. "Yes sir, it's a pleasure, Miss. Morrison. Can I bring up some heated towels for you?"
"Yes. That would be great." I nod kindly. Turning to Jack I whisper a question while the guy is busy. "Uh, I didn't catch his name, what is it."
"Not important." He answers back without missing a beat.
I quickly punch him in the arm as hard as I can. "Rude!"
"Did you say something, Miss. Morrison?" He looks at me curiously coming over with a few heated towels.
"Oh, I er- was asking what is your name." I quickly cover up, adding a sweet smile at the end while taking the towels from him.
"Forgive me, Miss. Morrison. My name is Fredrick Pine."
"Thank you, Rick. It is okay if I call you Rick, right?"
He smiles, his eyes crinkling. "Yes, it's fine by me Miss."
Jack cuts in. "We should really be getting upstairs so she can dry up real quick. Bring the luggage to my Condo, you have the keys to the car, it's all in the trunk."
Rick nods at Jack. "Yes, sir."
Jack continues to the elevator and I scowl at his behavior toward the poor guy.
"Don't be so hard on him Miss," Rick speaks next to me, I look at him. "He just needs someone to... I guess help him along, to open up."
"You think so?"
"Of course, and it looks like you have that chance, Miss." He smiles and walks off to the car. Jack finally notices I'm not following as well.
"Vivianna! Hurry up!" I hurry to catch up with him.
"You have an hour to settle in, then the team is coming over. As a final chance to get to know who you'll be working with." With that, the elevator doors close, and we head on up.

So I wasn't gonna put this half-done-work up but.... I needed to update, I meant to get some more stuff up before today but, I went shooting, for the first time in years (now I'm sore from the weight of my new Winchester rifle)! Just in time too, Vee and Jack may have to use guns at some point... *hint hint - wink wink*
Pics may be up about that soon, but any ways!
So let's all hit that little golden star, let's type something into the comments section, hit the share button, and let's all hit that winning follow button!!
