He explained to me once again how the whole place isn't his, apparently, there are 5 condo's, each person on the team has their own condo, occasionally Tyler will occupy the fifth one, and I wasn't prepared for what I saw when I entered. My jaw dropped as I took in my surroundings.

It was a lot more modern than I'd expect from Jack, but it seemed just as cold as his personality. Yet, it seemed somehow homey, there weren't really any personal touches to the Place, but of course, I expected that much. He didn't really seem like the sentimental type of person.  The furnishings were all chrome, gray, and black. The table surfaces were glass, all in all, you get what I mean when I say modern and cold. I mean no colors on the walls, no pictures, mementos, no finishing touches or personal touches to make the place his.

"Uh, you okay?"

I snap out of my daze and look at him my mouth still agape and my eyes still wide with surprise. His expression was a weird one, no doubt the thoughts of 'she's crazy' 'how am I going to deal with her?' and 'what is up with her face' are running through his mind.

"You can pick your jaw up off the floor now Vee."

"This place is a lot bigger and nicer than I expected, for a person with your kind of job anyway!" I answer taking off to check the place out a bit more, abandoning my coat and the towels on the floor.

"Is that so? Are you going to really just leave your stuff on the floor?" He looks at my mess with irritation. I smirk, I think I just found Mr. Always-cool's weakness.

"Yu-p!" I take off looking at the kitchen and the view from a wall that is all glass and leads out to a balcony. It overlooks the city that seems to be always busy, the rain still coming down.

In the reflection I see him reluctantly pick it all up and put it in its respectable places, I do a mini mental victory dance.

"This place is great and all but one problem the-"

"There's only one bedroom? Yeah, you're sleeping on the couch." He cuts me off and finishes with a smirk.

"I am not sleeping on the couch, where am I gonna put all my stuff?!" I argue crossing my arms.

"You don't have all that much with you, and it's obviously gonna be put in my room, there's extra space."

"I don't trust you with my stuff!" I snap, Jack rolls his eyes at my antics.

"I wouldn't dream of touching your stuff, don't be ridiculous."

"Me? Ridiculous?! You making me sleep on the couch is disrespectful!" Jack simply shrugs at my accusation.

"You're not gonna win this fight, your stuff stays in my room and you'll be sleeping on the couch end of discussion."

The intercom buzzes saving Jack from being strangled by me. What kind of person thinks that it's okay to let a girl sleep on the couch? I guess it'll be okay it's not like I get a lot of sleep anyway, but that was when I was usually programming my stuff, I left all of it back at home, all I have left with me is my phone.

I look up from my phone, I didn't even realize I had taken it out till now, Jack is standing in front of me now.

"What did I tell you about the clothing choices you would be making from here on out?" I look at him confused, then I notice some of my clothes in his hands.

"Who gave you permission to go through my stuff?" I shoot back with a deadly glare. "You said that you wouldn't dream of touching my stuff." I snort with a sarcastic laugh, a knowing smirk on my face.
