I Need You...

Now back to the drama!!

My eyes grow wide and fill with tears, "It's that bad.....?" I whisper, finally letting my tears fall. 

She nods sorrowfully. "The doctors don't wanna give us to much hope of her waking up... and if she does they fear that she wont ever walk again."

I wipe my tears away with my sleeve, probably smearing what little makeup I did today. "What did she want to talk to me about so badly?"

Her mom shakes her head. "She wouldn't say, she just said that, it was important and that she had to talk to you, alone, in person."

"Damn it, Mari.... why did you have to go so early...." I sigh and look at her mom. "Can I go in and see her...?"

She sighs, and speaks her voice tired, barely above a whisper. "Yeah, maybe my little princess, will respond to you...." She grips my hand tightly, before standing up.

Jack walks up to me "I'll wait here till your done." I nod and follow Gloria down the halls.

She stops and takes a deep breath, "I won't ever get used to seeing her like this. J-" She trails off a distant look in her eyes. "Just prepare yourself, it isn't pretty. At this point the machines are breathing and pumping the blood for her..."

I nod and open the door slowly, and I see her laying there, fragile as all hell, white as the sheets covering her body. A tube down her throat, multiple cords running from the various machines to her body. Keeping her alive.

I take cautious steps up to her prone figure, the tears falling freely. I grab her hand and squeeze gently. 

"Hey Mari, I'm here." My eyes linger on her bruised up face. "You had something important to tell me, right? So come on love, wake up and tell me what you wanted to say..." I trail off. 

I sniffle and continue "I need my bestie, I can't do life without you, I need you to dare me to ask Noah out , or for you to be concerned about me. I need you to be there when I do absolutely crazy stuff, for you to do that crazy stuff with me. I need my gossip girl to tell me everything she hears." I pause. "So don't give up..."

Jack pops into the room silently. "Hey, we gotta head out, security is looking for the pass and the cart."

I nod and kiss Mari's hand heading out of the room, closing the door behind me. 

"You... you gonna be okay...?" He asks unsure if he should be asking me at all.

I wipe my tears and nod looking at him I give a tight smile. "Lets just go."

What is up with him being so nice all of the sudden? Just earlier today he couldn't even stand talking to me in any kind of civil tone. I'm still not sure how to react to this kindness.

I mean it's so out of the blue, so unexpected, I am most definitely gonna be questioning if I should be trusting him or not.

We head down in the patient elevator, so we don't draw to much attention to ourselves, we also decided to leave the stuff we 'borrowed' upstairs for them to be focused on that.

Our ride consisted of me being in my own zone, worried for my friend, curious what was so important that she left early to talk to me. Jack kept silent, I never really got my answer as to why he was being nice, and I didn't want to jinx it either by asking again.

He pulls up to my house and I snap out of my thoughts when I see a nice black BMW in front of my house. "Who the hell...?"

I rush out of the car before it stops once more, no one is in the BMW. and I head inside. My heart stopping when I hear a voice. 

"You're late......"

Sorry loves for being super late on this update, been a crazy week, and I know its short but I really wanted to get it up!! So I obviously have to give you another update today so I stay on schedule. 

But all in all a lot will be happening (hopefully) in the upcoming chapters, I've got ideas!!

So how do you feel about Mari? What did she have to tell Vee?

Oh! and 100 views?! You guys are coming through for me!!! But lets keep it going up! Thanks for the votes and comments as well!!
