Chapter 2

Zero P.O.V~(age 14)

Emiko and I are walking home together from training. After years of begging to Yagari-Sensei, he finally allow Emiko to be his student.

At first, I didn't agree to it and neither did Ichiru. We always worried that she might get hurt, especially by Kaito. Either way, we made sure to watch her carefully and train by her side in every step of the way.

Anyway, while we were walking, she had an exhausting look on her face as I looked at her worriedly.

"Are you okay?" I asked and she nodded.

"I'm fine," she answered, "I'm just a little tired that's...." She suddenly then fell to the floor.

"Emiko!" I shouted as I came down to her side. She struggles to get up and so I tried to help her.

"Are you feeling sick?" I asked with concerned.

"My legs feel asleep." She stated as she laughed sheepishly. I sighed in relief as I turned around, showing her my back.

"Climb on," I stated, "I'll carry you home." I wait for her to get on, but she didn't. I turn back, only to see her sitting there with a blush on her face. She shakes her head.

"I-It's embarrassing." She stated nervously. I smiled as she continues to blush more.

"There's nothing embarrassing about it," I explained, "besides, I can't just leave you here." She slowly nodded. She then finally climbed on my back and I start to carry her home.

"Am I heavy?" She asked and I shook my head.

"Not at all." I answered. I continue to carry her home in silence.

"Zero?" Emiko called to me and turn my head abit to look at her.

"Yes, Emi?" I answered. She wraps her arms around my neck and lays her head on my shoulder.

"I'm really happy that I met you, Ichiru, and everyone." She said and I smiled.

"And I'm glad that I met you, Emiko." I said and she giggles, making me blush.

She's so cute....

~~~~~~~(An hour later)

Emiko and I returned home. We checked up on Ichiru, knowing the fact that he was feeling a bit sick as usual.

After leaving my room, I found Emiko sitting on the couch in the living room drawing in her sketch book. She looked up, noticing my presence.

"Oh, hi Zero!" She exclaims happily. I smiled as I came by her and sat on the couch. I stared down at her book and saw a sketch of a flower.

"That a pretty drawing." I complimented. Emiko looks down at the drawing and smiles a little as she closes it.

"It's not that pretty," She stated, "The petals looks off." She puts her book away.

"So anyway, how's Ichiru feeling?"  she asked and I sighed deeply.

"Still a little sick." I answered and she frowns.

"I really hope he feels better soon." She said and I nodded.

"Yeah, me too." I stated. We sat on the couch in silence as we stared at the fireplace before us.

My eyes stares at the fireplace, but it wonders over to Emiko. She then notice me looking and gives me a smile. I then blushed and looked away from her.

"Something wrong, Zero?" She asked and I only shook my head. I could hear her giggle which made me blush even more.

"Why are you sitting so far?" She asked curiously. I stare down at the empty space between us.

I honestly never realize until now....

She pats on the empty space, inviting me to sit closer and so I accepted it by scooting closer.

She gave me a warm smile, so I couldn't help, but smile back. Then, out of nowhere, Emiko slowly put her head on my shoulder and I tensed up.

"E-Emiko?...." I called to her nervously.

"Can we please stay like this for awhile?" She asked softly.

"Okay...." I sighed as I relaxed a bit. She relaxed as well and sat here like this.

Ichiru P.O.V~

I stood there, staring at Emiko who has her head on my brother's shoulder.

I then see brother's arm slowly crept around her in comfort. The sight of it made my stomach churned.

Why am I feeling this way?.......Why at this very sight of my brother having his arm around Emiko make me mad?.....Am I jealous?.....

Those thought swim inside my head non-stop, making me feel even more sick. I then turned away and head back into my room.
