I sat inside the foyer of the quiet house, and tied my shoes. My parents were sleeping, the atmosphere was lonely. Today I had to start at a new school, and I was not looking forward to it at all. I wanna crawl in my bed and go into an eternal sleep. I thought dreadfully. I sighed, and finished the knot in my shoe laces.

I grabbed my bag and walked out the front door, the school was about one and a half miles away so it wouldnt take me too long to walk, plus it was good exercise anyways.

I walked on the pavement sidewalk to school and watched the sky morph into different colors and shapes whilr I listened to (favorite song). There isn't much else to do but let the butterflies in my stomach flutter back and forth.

Finally, I arrived at the school. People walked in cheerfully talking and laughing with their friends. I stood far away from the entrance.

Iwatobi

I was scared to walk any closer. What if someone knew me, then my whole rest of the year would turn into a mess. I groaned.

Okay, I'm just gonna keep my head down and not talk to anyone, easy. Who needs friends anyways. Slowly, I walked towards the double doors. Just as I was about to go through, a boy with messy blond hair ran in front of me, "I'm gonna be late!" He yelled.

"Hey!" I said as I dropped the textbooks in my arms.

"Oops, I'm so sorry!" He turned back to me quickly, glancing at me with magenta-red eyes, then continued to run.

Lord! That was rude! He didnt even seem like a high schooler. Breathe (f/n), breathe. I thought, trying to tame the butterflies flying ferociously. I just hope that the rest of the day goes fine and no one knows who I am. Also that the teacher doesnt call on me to answer a question, I shivered over the thought.

I picked up the books on the ground and took a deep breathe as I took my first steps inside the new environment. It opened up to a wide lobby with tall ceiling and windows. There were a lot of people loitering around in the room and talking to each other. A hallway extended from the area and split off into two directions, with all glass walls to separate the cafeteria between them. It didnt look like there were many classes, maybe club rooms or things like the councilors office and Im pretty sure there was an auditorium near the end.

It was a beautiful sight, but I didnt want to be late for class on the first day, despite how much I did not want to be here. I made my way to the main office, which was marked with a shiny gold plate on the outside, and stepped up to the front desk.

"Um, hi." I said to the woman at the desk.

"Hi, how can I help you?" She asked me, looking up from a calendar full of notes and times.

"I just transferred here, and I need a schedule and locker."

"Name?"

"Uhh, (l,n) (f/n)." I watched her as she shuffled through papers on the rack beside her, and after searching she got up and went into another room behind her. Eventually, the woman cane back with a pink piece of paper with my name on it, and handed it to me.

"Here you are," she said. "Just make sure you sign in over there."

I smiled, signed my name and the time in a book next to me, and walked off without another word.

I walked aimlessly around the halls trying to make my way through the maze I was in, checking classes and asking for help. No matter how many people I asked, none of the directions given lead me to my first class.
