Um so those "future plans" I was talking about last chapter, I no longer remember... haha

I also noticed I have a lot of typos so I should start rereading more carefully oop

I slaved away on the makeup work I had all night, my legs were getting stuck in criss cross positions as I repositioned the top leg every once in a while.

The washing machine shook the wall from the room next over. In it contained two uniforms, one previously soaked in stain remover, the other previously soaked in chlorine. I would have to return to borrowed one to the nurse tomorrow.

Thanks to Gou, I was able to get some work out of the way. She got off track frequently, with all the half naked bodies around. But I believed if I asked her for help in a library setting, she'd be a great ally. However, there'd be no way for me to finish the amount of work I'd missed in a "small" amount of time.

I lay my back down flat, and spread my arms out across the smooth wood floor. I stare up at the ceiling, imagining what kind of skylight window I'd put in once I get my own place someday. I closed my eyes and turned my head to the side. Maybe I should just go to sleep. I thought.

As I decided to actually get some rest tonight, and I sat up, I noticed one of my backpack's side zippers open: A pocket that was usually vacant. I scooted over to the (f/c) backpack and looked in the pocket. A folded up piece of paper was snuggly placed in the creases of the pocket.

I unfolded it with caution and curiosity, and read it through.

Just wanted to say sorry again. I wasn't paying attention and it was all my fault. I probably didn't make your new school experience too easy.
Let me know if you ever need anything, I owe you one.
Tachibana Makoto
(Feel free to call me Makoto)

The ink of the paper was smudged under where his words were written. I figured by wet fingerprints. The faint smell of chlorine lingered over the paper, and I thought of the pool that sparkled in the sun, and I thought of Tachibana-san hurriedly scribbling down an apology for me to find it later.

I stumbled in and out of classes, collecting new work and stuffing it together, just to get more in the next subject. I was able to work on a few pages of makeup in between lessons and in the halls.

Lunch was spent with Gou, it seemed like she never stopped talking, but it was fun to listen to her stories, she had quite an exciting life.

Eventually she began to talk about how she was the manager of the swim team, which I already knew but the other girls gathered at the table seemed unaware because of their interest.

"Are they cute!?" They'd all asked. Gou blushed and looked over at me. The girls' eyes followed.

"Ask (f/n)-san, I've known them for quite a while. She'll be less biased." She smiled at me and gave a wink.

I sent her a panicked look, then quickly turned my attention back to the horde of girls ready to burst with their fangirling. I wasn't sure what to say and thought back to how Gou acts every time the boys make their way up to the roof.

"Oh they're totally hot!" I burst out, trying to meet the girls' expectations. They murmured and squealed to each other then looked back to me for more content.

"Okay, but who's the hottest?" A brown-haired girl asked.

"Um," I looked to Gou, who smirked without looking to me. "None of them are really my type, so I couldn't say."

At this, Gou quickly sat up in her chair and gave me a look, surprised by my answer. Meanwhile, the group groaned, and said how they wished they could see for themselves. My lips slightly curled up, amused. When I looked back to Gou she was smiling, not at me, but past me.

Before I could realize, a voice boomed behind me, "Hey (f/n)-chan!" A familiar high voice happily sang. I turned around to see the blond Nagisa smiling over me. A tall figure stood beside him with a smile.

"Hey (l/n)-san." He said.

"Makoto-san," I said his first name, referencing to his note from the night before. "You guys... scared me."

"Oh, no! Sorry (f/n)-chan!" Then, out if realization he said, "You called Makoto, Makoto!"

I thought it odd he was so surprised considering he'd used my first name since he found out what it was.

"It's okay Nagisa, I told her she could." Makoto said with a smile. "(F/n)-san you could call the whole team by our first names if you'd like, it would bring us together more."

"Oh! It's like team bonding!" Nagisa perked up.

I giggled and nodded to Makoto, who scrunched up his face in a funny smile.

I suddenly came to the realization that I was being stared down. I turned around to see a table of girls with their mouths half open. Some were looking at me and others at Makoto. Makoto barely gave notice, and said a quick goodbye before walking away with Nagisa.

"(L/n)-san, you said none of them were your type!" A girl sang out. I was shocked by the comment, and others began to chime in.

"You guys seem to know each other really well."

"Have you gone on a date with him?"

I was being bombarded with questions too fast to answer, when finally the bell rang, and I'd never been happier to go to my next class.
