2 WEEKS LATER

CHERRY

"I'm proud of you Cherry, when we first started you couldn't keep up with me."

Matt slaps me on the back as we come to the end of our jog. He was right, I couldn't keep up with him at the start but now I could run circles around him if I wanted.

"I had a good teacher Matty."

He hands me a bottle of water which I grab and down like water was going out of fashion. We slump down on a bench getting our breath back. Tonight was the last show of the American leg before Hollywood Undead went to Europe, and after the show, we were all going out to celebrate.

"Can you keep a secret a secret Cherry? I don't want you to laugh at me."

I glance over and see Matt messing with his water bottle keeping his eyes focused on that instead of looking at me. I tilt my head to the side and reach out to put a reassuring hand on his shoulder.

"You can tell me anything, Matt."

He sighs, "I think I'm in love with Dylan."

I smile and start to giggle, Matt looks up at me hurt and confused because he didn't want me to laugh at him and here I was laughing at him.

"Forget it Cherry, I thought you were different."

He stands up and looks ready to storm off but I get up and stand in front of him getting my giggles under control.

"Two weeks ago Dylan told me he likes you, Matt, well he said he liked dick and when I mentioned your name he blushed and then went quiet."

Matt's pout turns into a weak smile, "he likes me Cherry? Oh my god what do I do?"

"Tonight at the club why don't you make a move, trust me I've seen the way Dylan stares at you when he thinks no one's watching Matt. He won't turn you down. Now can you keep a secret of mine?"

The curly-haired drummer nods, "cross my heart and hope to die. Plus I kind of like being the person everyone gossips and tells secrets to."

I bite my lip, Matt wasn't going to be as happy with my secret as I was with his.

"I love you and the guys and understand you're trying to protect me from all the bad in the world and that bad includes Jordon. But we've been messaging again these past two weeks, Heather knows but I kind of wanted to tell someone else. Please don't hate me, Matty, Jordon and I are just friends."

Matt's smile falters for a split second, I close my eyes and prepare for him to go off at me for talking to Jordon again. Maybe I should have just kept this between Heather and I. Opening my eyes I half expected Matt to have left me in the park, but he was still stood in front of me his facial expression unreadable.

"I could never hate you Cherry and neither could the guys. I guess it would have been nice to know that you and Jordon were talking again, and at the end of the day, you should be able to be friends with him. We just don't want to see you get hurt, Jordon has a way of luring people in then using them and leaving them out in the cold like trash."

I close the gap between us and hold Matt's hand, "I think Jordon learned not to hurt me again when George did a number on his face. I am planning on telling the rest of the guys slowly, maybe one at a time."

Matt sighs, "Being friends with Jordon does make you smile so I guess if you're happy then I'm happy for you. But if you ever need to talk to someone remember my bunks always open."

I snort, "Not when you and Dylan get together, I won't be going anywhere near either of your bunks."

Matt leans forwards and ruffles my hair much to my annoyance, I hated people touching my hair.
