Draco didn't appear to want to go to classes the next day until halfway though double potions. He walked in with his right arm covered in bandages. His arm bound up in a sling. Most of the girls gawked over him as he took his seat next to me.
"Does it hurt much?" Parkinson asked as I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah," he said looking to me hoping to sympathy. I shook my head and sat back in my chair.
"Settle down, settle down," Snape said walking to the front.
Today we were making a Shrinking Solution, alone, just how I liked it. I started on my work and left a trail of people behind me as I tried my best to finish.
"Sir," Draco said pathetically, "Sir, I'll need help cutting up these daisy roots because of my arm-"
"Weasley cut up Malfoy's roots for him," Snape said without looking up from his book. I snickered and tried my best to finish. I added all my ingredients.
"Seen your pal Hagrid lately?" Malfoy sneered at me.
"What's it to you?" I asked consecrating on my work.
"I'm afraid he won't be a teacher here much longer," he said in a tone of mock sorrow, "fathers not very happy about my injury-"
"Keep talking, Malfoy, and I'll give you a real injury," Ron snarled.
"- he's complained to the school governors. And to the Minister of Magic. Father's got a lot of influence, you know. And a lasting injury like this? Who knows if my arm will ever heal again."
"So that's why you're putting it on," Harry said, "to try and get Hagrid fired?"
"Well, that is part of the reason, Potter, but there are others as well. Caterpillars Weasley!"
Instead of the acid green, my potion was supposed to be it turned blue. I coughed slightly as Draco looked to me.
"Something the matter?" He asked as I coughed.
"N-No," I mumbled.
"I did it right, how did it not turn green," I muttered under my breath, "maybe some Acromantula Venom? That will balance it out to make it what it's for."
I walked to the potion ingredients on the wall and searched for the venom. This was incredibly expensive, I found it on the top shelf.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" I muttered as I lowered the ingredients to me. I heard a cough behind me as I dropped my concentration. The venom was falling and falling fast. I looked up at it.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" I said as some of the venoms fell out of the cauldron and splashed in my eyes. I lowered the venom to the ground before running to Snape. I didn't even have to run to Snape, he had already seen. He ran to me after seeing the whole thing and brought me to the hospital wing. I heard other footsteps behind us. My eyes were watering, I thought it may just be the venom. I held my eyes as they began to slowly burn.
"P-Professor, I'm sorry," I muttered as Madam Pomfrey ran to me and moved my hands from my eyes.
"Severus?" She asked. She looked in my eyes I was guessing. I couldn't see much. Just blurry images.
"Spilled Acromantula Venom," he muttered.
"I can help her but I'm afraid the venom has sat in too long," she muttered, "put her on the bed."
I walked my best over to the bed. I felt someone try and help me up as I sat there. Pomfrey rushed over to me and dropped something in my eyes. I had just witnessed the burning of five thousand suns in my eyes. I cried out and felt someone grab my hand.
