Today was a new day, students that got their permission forms went to Hogsmead. I sat in the Slytherin common room as I saw many students walk out to visit Hogsmead. Liza had hers signed so I was going to be alone. It was a Saturday and the common room was dull and boring after everyone had left. I sighed and got up to walk to Lupins office to ask him about lessons to defeat a Dementor.
I was almost there to see Harry try to run out to the courtyard to get his slip signed by Professor McGonagall. She wasn't going to sign it. I knew that. Harry knew that. I continued on my way to see him walking out.
"Oh Nova, come to see me?" He asked.
"Yes sir, I-"
"How about you walk with me, I presume your brother is here as well," he said as I nodded.
"Very well, let's go to the bridge, pretty sight there," he nodded as we walked to the courtyard to find Harry and go to the bridge. We found him and walked the rest of the way.
"Professor, why did you-" Harry started.
"You want to know why I stopped you from that Bogart," Lupin said as we stopped and looked over the railing, "I would've thought it would have been obvious. I assumed you knew why I would have-"
"You knew that it would take place of Voldemort sir?" Harry asked.
"Yes, but however I was wrong. Nova, fantastic work yesterday. Tackling the boggart like I instructed, and you Harry-"
"Thank you, professor."
"Professor, I was wondering if you could give us lessons- you know if the dementors ever would attack, and y-you weren't anywhere around."
"I would be thrilled to, the patronus charm is a very impressive spell," he smiled at me.
"You know you act just like your mother," he said,"and look like her too, except for your glasses, got that from James I'm afraid."
"Actually professor, I spilled poison in them, and I temporarily blinded myself, I now have to wear glasses since the poison sat for too long."
"I'm very sorry to hear that," he muttered, "they are very becoming."
"Thank you," I grinned as he nodded.
"So I suggest you two to come by my office in a time you are not as busy, might I suggest sometime in January?" He asked as I nodded.
"That is great for me!" I said.
"Harry? Might I suggest you learn the spell also, never know when a dementor may pop by," he said as Harry nodded.
"Y-Yes professor."
"Anyhow, it's a full moon tonight you two, better stay inside the castle. Never know what might be out there," he said as I nodded.
"Thank you, professor," I said as I said my goodbye to Harry.
"Oh and Professor, may I ask you something?" I asked as he stiffened. He looked back to me and put his hands in his pockets.
"What can I help you with Miss Potter?" He asked. I felt very uneasy to tell him. I felt nervous. I barley even knew this man. How could I even tell him about my brand?
"Uhm-- it's not important right now," I said softly.
"Very well, Miss Potter, how about some other time."
And with that I ran up to the castle. After everyone came back for the afternoon I walked to the pitch with Liza as I saw a big number of students standing around. It was an outstanding outcome. Usually with our "tryouts" it was a you played last year, you made it. Or a a "oh you flew your broom to chase a rememberal from a stupid boy throwing it after stealing it? Yes, you are now seeker". All from Slytherin house hold I was expecting. I heard a whistle as I looked.
