I was wandering around the mansion, bored out of my mind, and having an argument with Alice.
'-because it is wrong and unfair and horrible!' She was saying. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
'Well I wouldn't kill so many people if they weren't so stupid and annoying,' I pointed out. I heard Alice make a noise of frustration. I smirked, and ran into something small and green.
"Ben!"
Ben jumped back and scowled.
"Zero! Watch where you are walking would you?" He snapped. I grinned and sling my arm around his shoulders.
"Hey, cheers for fixing my computer Benny boy," I mocked. Ben growled and slipped out from my arm and walked off.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you Freak," he called out affectionately over his shoulder. I laughed and went the other way.
As I walked, a felt someone at my elbow. I turned my head to see Puppeteer floating beside me, a small smile on his lips. I raised an eyebrow and quirked my own lips.
"Hi?" I prompted. Puppet put on a fake offended face, and gasped.
"What, you think I'm only here because I need something? How. Rude."
I giggled, covering my mouth with my hand. Too late. Puppet heard me and grinned slyly.
"So, whatcha wanna do?" He asked in a funny voice. I tried to hold my poker face.
"Hmm, not sure," I answered, lips quivering as I tried not to smile at Puppets antics beside me as he put a doctor face on and raised his hands in a temple to his chin and nodded solemnly. I felt my shoulders shake as he flared his nostrils and pouted his lips, trying to make me laugh. Finally I couldn't help myself and let out a laugh, which escalated until I was sliding down the wall, holding my stomach as I gasped for breathe.
"You-you ass!" I gasped, still laughing. Puppet chuckled too and held out his hands to help me up off the floor. I blushed as he pulled me up, then coughed and tried to cover it up.
"Um, so what do you actually want to do?" I asked. Puppet thought for a moment, then scooped me up in his arms and flew off through the mansion.

"Puppet! Where are you going?!" I screamed as he flew, in the middle of the hallway, about two meters off the ground. I laughed and screamed as he shot through rooms, scaring people who were coming out of them. Then we were outside, flying high over the trees. I clung to Puppet as he went faster and faster. I buried my face in his chest as my hair whipped into my eyes. Finally, he began to slow down enough for me to look up. I gasped. We were at some sort of cliff, and the sunset was perfectly visible from our vantage point. I smiled softly as Puppet placed his beanie and jacket on me. I looked at him.
"It's beautiful," I whispered. Puppet smiled gently, and cupped my chin in his large hand. I nuzzled into his soft, grey toned palm. Then I froze. I felt a tear roll down my cheek slowly and Puppet inhaled sharply, pulling me into a hug.
"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" He asked, concerned. I shook as I sobbed into his chest.
"I just r-realised that y-you're the o-one," I cried. Puppet rubbed circles on my back and ran his hand through my hair.
"What are you talking about," he asked in confusion. I rubbed at my eyes, clearing the tears, and swallowed thickly.
"Y-you're the one w-who makes Alice disap-pear!"
Puppets eyes widened.
"Y-you mean like that... soulmate thing?" He whispered incredulously. I nodded. Puppet's breath began to quicken slightly.
"Then why were you crying?" He asked cautiously. I smiled gently through my tears.
"Because I realised that I've loved you this whole time," I explained, "and I've been so horrid!"
Puppeteer laughed and hugged me tightly.
"No you haven't," he said firmly. I looked up at him in the now dark sky. His eyes glowed brightly. I smiled.
"I-I...love you," I exhaled. To my relief, Puppet grinned.
"I love you too Zero."

We spent a couple more hours at the cliff, hanging out and talking. When we finally decided to head back, it was almost midnight. I groaned loudly.
"Damn it!" I cursed. Puppet looked at me quizzically.
"What's wrong?" He asked, eyebrows furrowed. I grimaced.
"I'm not supposed to be out past 8pm. Slender is going to kill me!"
Puppet smirked.
"Well he doesn't have to know," he replied slyly. I raised my eyebrow at him.
"And how exactly are we going to sneak into his warded mansion full of highly alert killers and creatures? Hmm?"
Puppet just winked at me.
"You forget I can fly..."

Soon enough, I found myself wrapped in Puppets arms again as we flew towards the mansion. This time however, we flew straight up, directly towards a small window in the west side. Thankfully, although the window was latched, my lock picking and window opening skills ha the window sliding quietly open in no time. The window was tiny, but I was able to easily slip through and land semi-gracefully as Puppet helped me land on my feet. I waited as he slipped through the window as well, and then I noticed where we were.
"Really?" I asked, sarcasm dripping off my words. Puppet looked at me innocently.
"What?"
I rolled my eyes.
"It's not going to suspicious at all, is sneaking out the girls bathroom at 12pm at night," I said. Okay, maybe the sarcasm was a bit over the top with that one. Puppet rolled his eyes.
"Come on," he sighed, "if anyone asks I'll say you had a panic attack or something and needed help."
I groaned and took his hand as we crept out of the bathroom and down the hallway. When we finally got to my room, I turned to Puppet.
"Thank you for an amazing night!" I said, and softly kissed him on the cheek. He smiled, and returned the gesture.
"Goodnight, my little demon," he laughed softly. I giggled.
"Goodnight, my evil devil," I returned, before walking into my room and closing the door. I heard Puppet chuckle as he floated away. I smiled, not even meaning to.
God I love him.
That was when I heard it again. The cow that only Puppet could silence.
'You're just going to hurt yourself by falling in love with him,' Alice sneered. I rolled my eyes and flipped her off, not letting her ruin my happy mood.
'Go to hell Alice,' I replied, and collapsed on the bed, falling asleep before I touched the mattress.
