*Sals pov*

I sat up in bed, thinking. Only two days ago I had been living in Ireland with my friends, Chloe and Nina. I had vlogged  about it on my social media. No body knew the real reason I was moving, only Chloe. It was to get away from...him. That guy who always stared at me and tried to flirt with me. He came up to me the other day and tried to ask for a snip of my hair. The weird thing was, he was stroking it. I had said No and thats when he reached for a pair of scissors. I ran away from him and spent the next day not doing that course. Instead, I went to the gym, booked a flight to Australia and packed. I found an Australian school online that didn't seem too crap. We landed here at six pm, Australian time. We found a three bedded apartment in an apartment block. My mind switched to secondary school. I was always getting told off for wearing the "incorrect" uniform. I was the hoodie brigade. This college had a decent uniform; blue skirt, blue trousers, black shoes and a snapback hat. However, they didn't have a hoodie, which was a disgrace. The first time we walked up the stairs in here, this decent looking dude offered to help us. He told me I had nice eyes. To which I replied to that's so sweet. I was about to say the same thing about your hoodie. We laughed and walked into the apartment. It's a mildly posh complex so only the decent people stay here. He gave us a bowl of homemade pasta. I told him it tasted good. He said thank you. Then he left. We spent the rest of the evening unboxing the boxes. I found my favourite purple hoodie that I "borrowed" off someone else. Probably a dude because I could smell cologne off it. Anyway, I went to the shower and dressed in the purple hoodie and blue sports leggings. And because I'm a pure natural born rebel rule breaker, I wore white platform sneakers. I found the pots and banged two together to wake Chloe and Nina up. They got up,nrather reluctantly. They dressed in the uniform. Well, their version of the uniform. Nina chose a white t-shirt and jeans with holes in them along with grubby sneakers . By that I mean, ripped jeans. Chloe chose a yellow jumpsuit with blue pumps. The school started at eight a.m., but us being us, decided to be more late. We had chocolate and coke for breakfast. Yes, we're very healthy. We grabbed our snapback hats, phones and backpacks and headed to school. The sun glared right into my eyes. I saw a few people stare at me as we walked. Apparently, lots of Australians watch my vlog . I ignored them and found the school. We went right in, taking our sunglasses off as we went. I walked up to the main reception. I take it that you were expecting us New students I say. He looks me up and down. You're not wearing the correct uniform he says, dissaprovinly. I know. Does it look like we care? I say. He decides to ignore this. Right. You have detention after school. What a record he says. Chloe and Nina are in silent stitches. Do you know who I am? I ask. A bad mouthed, disrespectful student he replies. I open my mouth. The bell has rung and now students are coming out of class. Then they all stop and start to form a circle, wondering what's going on. No. A famous vlogger I reply. Ohhhhhhh say the students. Chloe and Nina walk away. This girl. This girl, right here, a new student, had landed herself in detention and she has only been here for less than ten minutes. And walking in late, without an explanation he shouts. No, I walked in late because we forgot the time, we didn't know were this crummy school was and we didn't know what the school uniform consisted of I yell back. All the students start clapping. I then walk through a little pathway the students made and go into his office. I put on my sunglasses and search up his comments on the students. I start reading them out. Hannah is a very loud, very talkative girl, consider suspending her I read out loud. Hannah comes in. She reads out the next one. Raj is a wanker. Hijack his e-mail she reads out. By this time, the teachers have come out of the classroom. I find a sheet that says where I should be now. Internet, room twenty. I grab my bag and head towards that room. Students start clapping me. The students who were in that class too started following me.

I'm sure I've seen that girl somewhere before. She is an absolute legend. Detention on her first day here. She opened up her laptop. She started playing games. The teacher walked in. Who's the new student? She asks. Sal raises her hand. Her charm bracelet clinkd very slightly. Tell us about yourself she commands. Well...She flicks her hair back and clears her throat. Everyone's eyes are on her. Well, I was born in Ireland, I did a course in photography slash media and then I moved here she smiles. The teacher looks impressed. Can we have a free class? I ask. She shakes her head. You're in school for a reason, you chancer she says. Wonder what that reason must be Sal whispers to me. That's when it clicks. She's the person I helped yesterday. That's when I realized. I liked her. She's Irish so she must make a good girlfriend. Are you not gonna take down the notes? I ask. She shakes her head. The bell rings again. This time for lunch. Where the actual  feck is the vending machine? She asks, pushing her glasses up on her nose. I'll show you I say. As we go out, everyone stares at her. She ignores them. Looks like you're famous already I laugh. She nods. We go to my locker which is but six steps away. I give her five dollars and she gets a bottle of water and a bag of chips. Yo Dolan i shout. Sal turns around. You're not friends with the Danger Dolan are you? She asks. I nod. He's there with Hellbent I finish. What? She exclaims. She picks up her bag and leaves. I run after her.
