Trembling hands and weak breathing. A dead corpse laid in front of your very own eyes. A dead corpse of one of your closest friends. Kaede Akamatsu. You fell onto your knees and smashed your fists onto the cold bloody ground. Sorrowful tears smeared against your dying wasted eyes.
"T-This is not happening.. T-This is only a dream.. R-Right?"
You gazed to the side seeing Kaito also on the ground screaming and crying silently next to you. Before this happened there were the three of you left: Kaito, Kaede, and you. You had all promised each other that you would survive and you would all escape together defeating Monokuma no matter what. But now there were only two people remaining making that promise broken. You could feel the deepening ache in your heart kill you slowly. You could feel pins and needles all over your bones stab you emotionally.
"T-This isn't happening, right?" You repeated powerlessly.
All of the flashbacks you had together with Kaede decided to come back, only making you break down in even more tears. You sobbed. You whimpered. You bawled. You wailed. Don't leave me Kaede. I need you. Don't leave. You kept punching the ground and every punch started to become weaker. Kaito's distressing tears dropped to the ground. It felt horrible seeing him like this. Unexpectedly he gripped your shoulder tightly, squeezing it firmly. A sudden smirk appeared on his face. H-Huh? You glanced up at him. Chuckles escaped from the male's lips as he helped himself up from the ground pushing you down.
"Look like it's just you and me now (Y/n)," he said.
Your eyes immediately widened as you saw a despairingly evil smile look down at you. Kaito wiped away his crocodile tears, laughing once again. He bobbed down to the ground snaring at you.
"It was all me (Y/n), I was the one that killed Kaede," he said wickedly.
The astronaut cupped your face tightly and dragged you in for a forceful kiss. You could only taste the saltiness of your tears and the lies in his mouth. We all promised each other there would be no more killings. We all promised each other we would escape together. This was never meant to happen. You squinted your eyes feebly as the man pressed his cold lips against your trembling lips. More tears ran down your cheek. He was trying to sink in the fact that Kaede was really dead. Kaito broke off the kiss moving closely towards your ear. He listened to your soft panting and whispered in your ear:
"I was the mastermind all this time."
Your mind went completely hollow and you blinked blankly. Your fists clenched firmly and shook like chattering teeth on a winter day. All you could see were the flashing memories of Kaito and you laughing at each other's jokes. Kaito and you staring at the gorgeous stars that shined with the moon. Kaito and you sharing each other's first kiss. Was it all fake..? You glared down at your knees seeing apart of the dead body that still rested on the floor. Kaito made everyone kill each other..?
"Why did you lie Kaito.."
You rubbed your teeth together sharply. Your body shook angrily. The purple-haired male stayed silent and still had that disgusting smile on him.
"You're the one that said you wished all of these killings would stop. But you were the one that caused them."
Every breath of yours was angry and grieved
"WHY THE HELL DID YOU LIE KAITO! TELL ME! WERE ALL THOSE TIMES WITH US TOGETHER FAKE?!" You weeped.
You slammed your fist against the ground watching the mastermind's smirk disappear from his face. He placed his hand onto your shoulder muttering softly.
"It was all for you (Y/n). I love you so much that I would kill anyone for you, and that's what I exactly did."
Listening to those pitiful words come out of Kaito's lips only made you tense up even more. He sounded so innocent. But he was only a two-faced guy. He only showed you his "sweet" side and really only had a dark side. You slapped the hand off your shoulder and gawked at him unpleasantly.
"You only did it for yourself. You only made me feel worse.." you said faintly.
The mastermind sighed and grabbed the knife laying on the floor. He stared at it and fidgeted with it carelessly.
"Those times we spent together were definitely not fake to me. In fact I want them to continue with no one getting in our way."
"So that's why you killed Kaede huh?" You murmured quietly.
Kaito nodded. You felt so confused about Kaito now. Is he good or is he bad? Is he angelic or is he satanic? Another smirk crawled up on the astronaut's face as he swiftly held the knife up against your neck. The tip of the sharp tool was just a few millimetres away from cutting you. You gulped deeply.
"Leave my side and you'll find yourself in this situation okay?"
He pointed the knife at Kaede who remained still. You nodded without thought. You had now realised you agreed spending the rest of your life with a boy named Kaito Momota. Is this what you really wanted? Is this how you wanted things to end? Is this going to be all worth it? The mastermind threw the knife away taking your hand and leading you out of the room and into his. He pushed you onto the bed and slammed the door shut locking it. Shivers went up your spine as you sat on the mattress breathing unevenly. You stared at the floor stiffly. Your tears began to dry up and you only felt like crying even more. He chuckled out evilly.
"You're going to stay with me forever (Y/n). Forever and ever."
