Chapter Twelve

"Nick.Please,calm down"I said quietly trying to calm him down.

"SHUT UP!..You cheated on me"He shouted shaking.

"I didn't!"I defended myself shouting back.

"NO,IT WAS YOU!Patty loved me while you.."He said crying then laughed when he said 'you'.

"..You were a cheater,you only cared for Emma,his daughter while patty cared about MY DAUGHTER and today everything is going to be ended..RIGHT NOW!"He shouted then shot the gun.I screamed then looked at Michael to see him falling on his knees bleeding from his chest.

I covered my mouth terrified from the terrible look as his mother starts Screaming leaning to her son's chest crying,amazed and shocked.

I looked at Nick shocked as he was smiling blessed.
"Are you crazy?"I shouted pushing him.

"Yes"He answered smiling shooting again ,I returned back touching the wall scared then saw Michael's mother dead beside her son.

I felt like the walls got closer to my chest ,I felt like my lungs are already dead and dry ,no oxygen can enter.
I looked at Nick scared waiting for his next step.

"Look,I hate forcing someone to do something so,you will choose your fate..Will you stay with me as two married happy couples with ONE girl called Maria and to walk in Emma's funeral OR.. seeing my mother and I walking in your OWN funeral?"He said with a peaceful hypocritical smile that I can't believe that it is so disgusting like that.

I looked down trying to think of anything,any idea,any way to get out of this hell.

I looked at his eyes one more time then at Michael's dead body.
And I ran.I ran as fast as I can towards the door ,I opened it as I heard Nick's footsteps behind me.I kept running then threw my heels in the air,The right foot then the left.
It was so cold that I didn't feel my feet ,I heard Nick's breaths behind me,I kept running then moved to the right where the place we lost Emma is located but,then Nick stopped and I kept running to the sea andto jump in it but,He shoot again and I felt on my knees.

I screamed from pain and screamed louder so anyone can hear me and rescue me.

"You think it's easy to escape from me YOU IDIOT!"He said raising his voice,I screamed again as much as I'm losing blood.

"Nick?Martha?What are you doing?!"We heard then looked at the voice source and it was his dad holding Maria in his hand.

"Dad?.."Nick said scared .

"Mom!!"Maria screamed running to my direction and Nick's dad as well,he seem so worried.

"Help me, please"I cried begging Nick's father for help.

"What happened?"He asked looking at his son shocked finding a gun in his hand.

"Mom,are you alright?"Maria asked crying looking at my waist where blood comes from.

"I'm fine,daughter"I said out of breathe holding her closer to my chest feeling that my soul is coming out from my body,My breathes were diminishing by the time,I felt like my soul is giving my body a good-bye.

Darkness came straigh to my sight as I closed my eyes hearing Maria's scream,It kills me to know that I just can't open my eyes to tell her that I can I hear her.

It's funny though that in the past,I could hear voices that didn't exist in the present and it really broke me down that I would hear a children cry and an old man too and now I'm hearing my daughter's scream and I just can't open my eyes.

If I just could open them and hold her to make her feel safe,it would be the best thing.
