I continue to follow Lockdown to where he thinks the Energon is. I can't believe I'm going to see it in real life! I'm so excited that I'm trying so hard not to squeal. Lockdown suddenly stopped right in front of me, I bumped into him.
Lockdown turned around and gave me a disapproving look, "Did you have to stay behind me? You could have walked next to me."
"I didn't want to get in your way." I stepped back.
"I appreciate that. But next time don't stand so close, alright?" He asks.
"Okay." I nodded.
Lockdown looked ahead of him and went over to a medium sized boulder, I watched as he pushed it away with ease. All I saw was a blue glow from under it, Energon crystals! I went over to look at the blue glow, Lockdown reached into the hole and pulled one out. It was pulsing an electric blue, so cool!
"Wow, there's a lot under here." I said as I saw so much more.
"Indeed there is, the only problem is where can we store it?" Lockdown rubbed his head.
"Can I hold one?" I ask sweetly. Lockdown glanced at me.
"I wouldn't recommend it, you and I are different. Different as in this substance can easily burn your fleshy skin and it cannot for me. If you had something to protect your hands, you would be fine." Lockdown said as he pulled more crystals out.
I just remembered my treehouse that's only a hundred feet away, I always keep gloves in there for avoiding splinters. I smiled, Lockdown looked concerned as I did so.
"What are you thinking about?" He asks.
"Wait here!" I turned and bolted for my treehouse, the leaves crunching beneath my sneakers.
I see it just up ahead, the steps are still in good shape. This treehouse is only 3 years old, so it's still fairly new. I never liked ladders so I wanted stairs instead. I went up into the treehouse and went looking for my gloves, it's in a drawer of a little toy vanity I put in her when I was 8. It comes in handy sometimes.
I found my gloves which used to belong to my daddy, they're the kinds of gloves that can handle anything. I quickly put them on and went back down the stairs, going back towards Lockdown. I saw a pile of Energon crystals on the ground as I came running back.
Lockdown looked up to see me, "Where did you go?"
"I got gloves, can I hold a crystal now?" I showed that my hands were well protected. Lockdown was hesitant for a moment, but he slowly picked up a small crystal and hands it to me.
I hold it in my hands, I feel it actually pulsing with energy. I stare at it as the light was getting brighter, I am holding official Energon. This is so flipping cool!!!
"Wow..." I'm so amazed right now.
"Do you know where we can store it for now?" Lockdown asks.
"Follow me." I start back for my treehouse. It's the perfect place to hide it, I'm the only one who goes to the treehouse.
Lockdown picked up the crystals he found and followed after me. I held my one crystal as we approached the treehouse, Lockdown looked confused.
"What is this place?" He asks.
"My treehouse, it's perfect. I'm the only one who comes here because only I know about it other than my parents, but they're too old to play in a treehouse. Come on." I started walking up the stairs.
Lockdown slowly followed me up with the crystals in hand, I reached the top and walked in. I put my crystal down next to the old vanity, Lockdown looked around at my small play space.
