Kaori's POV

"This wonderful gentleman, Takahiko Arima offered 100,000,000 yen to be taken in your care."

"Um... Does that mean I get to leave? Wait- I do not even know this person! What about all your research?!" Kaori exclaimed and questioned.

"Do not speak that way!" The head doctor ordered. Getting ready to reprimand her, the man stopped him and smiled at her. "It's fine, I don't expect her to trust me. I just want my son to be happy."

"Son?"

"Yes, he admires you very much, I just want you to return to him. And about the research, you will still take check ups at the hospital that you usually go to, Totsuhara University Hospital. Come we must go now, follow me." The father replied as he led her to his car.

"Is... Is your son Kousei?" Kaori questioned. She looked around to see beautiful trees with cherry petal falling around and she breathed. She felt the wonderful, fresh air. The air she was confined from.

"Yes," He responded trying to change the subject he asked, "Do you know why you were kept at the laboratory for so long?"

"No." She realized she was going to get the answer she pondered about for weeks.

"You know you own disease, Cerebellar ataxia? You also know the fact that it is incurable right? This surgery you took, I am pretty sure you were one of the first to survive. This surgery cured you from all of the symptoms of the degeneration. The side affect unfortunately is amnesia even though you are slowly remembering certain stuff." Takahiko explained.

"Oh," She looked outside, "Where are we going?"

"Home."
