        I pulled into the drive way grabbed the book and put it in my bag, then went inside my new home. When I walked in I heard Cody singing to Nattalia and I couldn't help but smile. I walked into the living room and he looked up from Nattala and smiled at me.

        "Well? How'd it go?" he asked.

        "Someone put a book on the back of my car and inside it was a note from the bitch that had her evil hands all over my man and she's protecting a teacher at the school for some reason the alpha pack wants her friend. I was at a red light and I was going to try to get a scent from the book, but Dr. Brett hit my car and I have a date with him tomorrow."

        "Was there a scent?"

        "No; I couldn't smell anything when the book was on the floor. Here," I handed him the book and he frowned at it.

"What is it?"

        "When you saw this teacher what did you feel?"

        "Darkness; I've been feeling it for weeks. What does it mean?"

"I'm not sure yet, but from what is going down in Beacon Hills with those mysterious sacrificial murders I'd say that we are screwed; especially you because you have the potential to be the strongest alpha in Beacon Hills."

        "I thought I already was? Well, I'm an alpha by association."

       "Right, because of Derek being your mate."

        "Ugh just great. Well, what do I do about this?" I held up the book.

        "Whenever you aren't busy getting revenge or being a mother, I'd like to teach you something that can be really useful."

        I went to respond to him but the door opened and a short woman with blonde hair walked in.

        "Cody?" she said.

        "In here Clarice!" Cody called out to her and she walked into the living room then smiled at me.

        "I'm Clarice; you must be Connor."

        "I am."

        "It's nice to meet you."

        "Likewise; If you guys don't mind I'm going to put Nattalia down then go to bed."

        "Oh go ahead," Clarice smiled and Cody nodded.

        I grabbed Nattalia and took her upstairs, then fed her and bathed her. I sat on my laptop doing research on supernatural things and then I checked on a sleeping Nattalia. I stripped and got into the shower once again. I felt like I was missing something and I knew it was because of Derek. I couldn't take it so I slid down the wall and tucked my knees to my breasts and cried. I grabbed a razor and slowly drew it across my wrist and my salty tears seeped into the wound. I felt a burning sensation in my other arm and I knew Derek was harming himself just like I was only this time I wasn't doing it to hurt him; I needed physical pain to distract from my emotional pain. I felt like my heart was in an infinite amount of pieces.

        "I love you Derek Hale; I always have and I don't think I will ever stop." The words echoed and my heart clenched.

        "When did we break?" I said to no one.
