The two turned and saw Alfred with Arthur and Francis.

"Hey, was that Kiku and Mattie?" Alfred asked the two blondes.

"You're seeing things you git, they're not here." Arthur scoffed.

Francis nodded. "They aren't even that close. They're not even that close to hang out together. They're merely strangers..."

Kiku overheard these and frowned. "Surely we're more than that..."

Matthew ran to an alleyway and panted. "Ah, we got away..."

Kiku frowned and pulled away.

"Huh, Kiku?" Matthew asked. "Are you okay? Oh, did I pull too hard?! I'm so sorry!"

He grabbed Kiku's hand, only for him to pull away.

"Matthew-san..." Kiku said, flustered once more. "I-I have something to confess..."

"Y-Yeah?" Matthew asked.

Matthew gasped softly and stared at the Japanese man bowing before him.

"I overheard what Alfred-kun, Arthur-san and Francis-san were talking about," Kiku continued. "They were saying that we aren't that close, and that we aren't that close to hang out together. Yes, that may be true, but you've caught my eye a long time ago, Matthew-san, and... I wish we were together!!"

His brown eyes began to tear up, until Matthew lifted him up by his chin.

He then kissed Kiku softly, causing him to kiss back softly.

"What a coincidence," Matthew chuckled after they pulled away. "You've caught my eye too, Kiku. But please, do drop the formality."

Kiku's tears turned into happy tears. "Whatever you say, Matthew!"
