So the Cullens left to go get my sister, leaving me alone in their big ole house, about an hour ago and I'm quite paranoid about being alone, because for 30 minutes there have noises like there's someone in the house. My anxiety spiked through the roof, and I was now curled into a ball in the corner of my spare room.

I heard footsteps and saw shadows moving outside my door, and I panicked. Someone really was here, and I don't think it was an innocent human.

My phone buzzed.

I looked down and saw a text from Carlisle, Emmett, and Esme...all of the messages saying the same. James is dead. Bella is safe in the hospital. Victoria is still out there.

Victoria was still out there..could she be in the house at this exact moment?

My anxiety started up again.

All of a sudden, there was a slight feminine laugh, it sounded like the chime of bells..but I knew all too well it was sinister..

My door swung open and the light from the hallway illuminated the familiar vibrant, fiery red locks of Victoria.

In that instant, I knew I was dead.
Victoria picked me up by my throat and pinned me to the wall. "Hello, Serenity."

"V-Victoria.."

"So much power, such little humanity left." and with that, I felt a sharp sting in my throat, as she bit into it.

"What are you. doing!" I screamed through clenched teeth, as fire engulfed my veins in a frenzy of pain.

"Making you the most powerful creature there is. A vampire with werewolf genes." Werewolf? I'm not werewolf, I'm human..or was.

The pain finally engulfed my whole body, and it got to be too much to handle. Everything went black.

---

When I woke up, everything was enhanced. Sight, sound, touch..and I have a hunch that tasted is probably thrown in there too. I sat up and looked around.

I was in a very comfortable king-sized bed. The sheets were silk, the comforter was fuzzy, and black. The room I was in was huge..and dark. The walls were grey, the carpet looked like it was made out of the softest material in the world. There was a single window next to my bed that let in the rays of the sunlight. I waved my hand in front of it, watching my skin shimmer.

Victoria walked in with a smug smile stuck onto her face. I let out an inhuman snarl, and lunged at her, digging my nails into her arms, and throwing her through the window. I followed after her and yanked her off the ground by her hair, bringing her up so I could look her in the eyes, as I spoke, "Your stupid soulmate is dead. You're nothing without him."

and with that I walked back inside the house, flopping down on the couch and turning the TV on.

I couldn't go back even if I wanted to. I was an abomination. The Volturi that Edward and Carlisle have talked so much about, would want me. They'd wage a war if it meant that they'd get my power.

"Serenity. Look, I have nothing against you. I just didn't want to see all the potential power you had go to waste. You can hate me for centuries, but I did it for you." Victoria murmured quietly

I shrugged. Keeping my eyes fixed on the TV. I was currently watching Cartoon Network. I may be a powerful immortal creature of the night now, but that just means I'm forever young.

For months, I stayed with Victoria. She was kind to me, like my sister was. We became friends, even as she expressed her need for revenge on my family. Even Laurent returned after some time, and he also became a close friend. We learned my family, the Cullens moved away. leaving Bella alone with my dad. Unprotected.

I missed my family. One day I'll get the strength to see them..

But when?
