"Isaiah. I mean, Mr. Samuels." Paris squared her shoulders at once and pulled down her blouse a bit in order to somewhat fix it. Seeing Isaiah right now was the least thing she had expected to happen because of her tight schedule. She was not only startled but she was in fact fidgeting. Somehow she hoped she was not obvious for him.

A grunt was heard coming from him. Isaiah showed her a grim smile and he fixed his tie as he went nearer to her without taking off his stare from her.

Taking a step back, Paris said to him, "Mr. Samuels," she gulped, "not to be rude to you, but why ever are you here?"

"I don't remember us calling by our last names, pumpkin," he said, smirking at her and half sitting at the edge of the table.

"I - uh I'm sorry."

Paris looked at the floor, pouted her lips a bit and began nibbling its bottom lip like what she did if she would be thinking about something. Not to deny, Paris was elated seeing him but it did struck her mind that what if he was not there for her. But how would he explain the flowers and pumpkin toy on the table if it wasn't for her.

She assumed it was for her and yes she had thought that somehow, it was from Isaiah. Who, by any chance, would call her pumpkin.

Marinette told her she would be meeting the owner of a certain company that would be willing to invest in their estate agency. If she would be meeting the owner right now in the function hall and Isaiah was the only person inside the hall aside from her, then it would deduced that he was the owner they had been neglecting for the previous week.

Paris gaped at the thought and looked up to him only finding out that he was as well looking at her.

She gulped before she spoke at him, "I was told to meet an investor here," she said, throwing him hints.

"And is there any problem?" Isaiah asked and began tapping the table with his fingers.

"The owner of Sweets&Locks, are you by any chance -"

Isaiah smiled to her. Or more like mock her. "I did not know you could be such slow to deduce my presence here and with the meeting."

She did not know if he was annoying her or insulting her or could be both at the same time but whatever Isaiah was doing, it definitely crossed her.

"I could be unpredictable for some moments, Ice," she spatted making Isaiah grinned more at her.

"Ah yes, how would I know, of course?"

Paris did not choose to answer but just stared at him, giving him the chance to say something. But, perhaps they were having a silent competition that whoever began to speak loses.

If Isaiah does not have any important matters to deal with her or talk to her, then he should not be wasting her time. There are lots of work left in her office to finish. It was just a feeling of panic she had felt when Marinette suddenly told her she would be meeting an investor.

Paris shifted her weight from both feet to her right. She took the moment to glance at her watch to check the time but did she care? She was just checking how long they had been silent.

When she looked back to Isaiah who as well checked the time, she noticed how formal he looked in his business attire and not to mention the blue tie that was loosely hanging around his neck.

Paris decided to cut the silence and began, "Would we be starting talking about the investment you came here for?"

Isaiah snapped his finger and went back to the front table getting bits of paper.
