"Someone let me know you where talented and needed a manager."

I was still confused as to why I was sitting in front of this man.

"You're kidding." I said in all seriousness

He chuckled "No. I'm not and I want to be your manager. That is if you can show ne what you can do."

I furrow my eyebrows. "You mean right now? Because I-"

"No. No. That won't be necessary."he laughed again "All you have go do is nail a couple of auditions to add to your experience and I can nail your a spot as a back up dancef for someone like I don't know-- Tinashe. Doesn't matter. "

"I don't know this all seems too good to be true." I bit the inside of my lip due to how nervous I was

"I guess you'll just have to find out then. Your first audition is tomorrow for Tinashe. We'll see how that works out."

"Wha-uh thanks." I said but I said it with more confusion than excitement

"I like you." he laughed again

I got up and started on my way to the door.

"Oh wait. Where are you staying so that a driver can pick you up?" he asks as soon as I was about to turn and leave

"Erm I don't know. Probably some cheap motel. Know any?"

He chuckled. He did that alot. "You're a card. Nonsense you can stay at my penthouse. I haven't been in it in awhile." he scribbled something down on a piece of paper and handed me a stray key from inside his desk "Be ready tomorrow by 8 a.m."

"Okay. Thank you again." I was shocked as I stared down at the address scribbled on the small sheet of paper.

I took the stairs back down to the main entrance. The guy from earlier was standing outside of the black limo as soon as I walked out. He opened it for me. "Meeting went well I presume?" he asked holding the door

"Yup." it shut closed and he got in on the drivers side

"Where to?"

I handed him the address.

"Penny for your thoughts?"

I shake mh head "Nah you go ahead."

She pauses. "Are you..Are you thinking about her?"

"Who? No. What are you talking about?" I smack my teeth

"Don't lie man. Just tell me. Straight up." She looks me in my eyes

"Yeah."

Her eyes soften "Bastard." she wiggles off of the couch

"What the hell? You just told me to be honest." I follow behind her

"Well the truth hurts." she says not turning toward but making her way upstairs
