Cas bit his lip. Dean must've noticed since he started blushing as he withdrew his hand.
"Uh...thank you. For the...food, i mean. But i'm not really hungry." Cas looked down, trying to escape Dean's questioning look.
"Cas...you haven't eaten in almost a week...please eat something. Doctor said so!" Dean must've used his puppiest pair of eyes cuz they were working.
"Look who's talking! You look like you came out of Morgue" Cas jocked
"Gee, thanks." Dean looked offended.
"I...I mean, you look tired...and when was the last time you ate?" Dean slowly smiled a shy smile like some kid that did something bad.
"I'm drinking coffee...I mean, that counts for something, right?"
"I can't believe you haven't eaten!" Cas opened the bag. "We'll share!" He took a burger and gave it to Dean. "Eat! And that's an order, mister!"
Cas was too cute for Dean to resist, so he unwrapped the burger and started eating. Man, was he cute when he ate...He looked so childish and goofy.
"Don't cheat! You're supposed to eat too!" Dean protested.
"Fine..." Cas started eating.
They sat together for quite a while until the doctor interrupted them
"Hello, how are we today?" A short man with dark hair, holding a clipboard stood in the door. He had a heavy irish accent.
"Oh...um...Hi. I'm doing okay, i guess..." Cas had to look really closely to recognize the name on the tag "Dr. Crowley."
"Well that's good. Now all you have to do is go to the lobby and sign out. You just come back in 15 days to take the stitches out."
Cas' eyes widen. "Uh...thank you, Doctor."
"No problem, pumpkin. Get well soon!" Crowley said and left.
Castiel didn't know if he should be happy that he could leave, or jump out of the window...He liked it here...even though it was a hospital, it was nice...he had food, safety and above all, he had Dean...
"Cas? What's wrong?" Dean came closer.
"I...it's nothing. I'll go get dressed..." Cas got up and headed to the small closet, taking his clothes and closing the door behind him in the bathroom.
"Hey, Cas! I'll go get the car! See you out front okay?" Dean yelled so Castiel would listen.
"Okay! See ya, there." He replied.
After a few minutes, Cas was already down at the lobby, signing out. He really wished he wouldn't have to leave. He didn't want to go ''home''. He wanted to be with Dean. The guy who stayed with him for all these days when there was no one else. But he didn't have a choice. Dean would probably want to get rid of him anyway...
He walked out, to find that black roaring beauty in front of him. Man, did he love that car...
"Well come in!" Dean called.
Castiel obeyed. He sat and put his seat belt on.
"Dean. Put your seat belt on!" Cas said seriously.
Dean laughed " I don't do seat belts."
"Please." Cas used his puppy voice.
"Ugh...fine." Dean did as he was told. "Where to?"
"Um...The park near school..." He didn't want to go home yet...
Dean stayed silent and just drove.
It was really amazing how safe Cas felt with Dean driving. He leaned against the cold window and let himself get lost in the silent sound of Van Morrison's 'Have i told you lately'. He wished this moment could last forever...but it wouldn't...
