"Hello Keiji, " His father said, looking rather uncomfortable, but the way his eyes lit up once he saw his son was all he needed to feel complete. "You've become so handsome." He said, almost amazed at his son's transformation.

You felt Akaashi's hold on your back become stronger, as if he was preparing for something.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, you looked up at your boyfriend, his voice sounded extremely calm, but his eyes told otherwise, pain was glowing within his blue orbs, which were now laced with green. Which you noticed happened when he was either happy or angry, and it definitely was not happiness.

"I came to see how you were." He replied, not expecting Akaashi's reaction to be so hostile.

"You had 6 years to do that." Akaashi replied back bluntly. You were surprised, Akaashi was one to never be rude, always using the proper honorifics and courtesy others deserved. Except this was different, you realized, the man who was supposed to be his number one fan had decided to leave before he could even see the man Akaashi would become.

"I know. And I'm sorry, I haven't had the nerve to come back and apologize. I'm sorry, truly sorry, it's kept me up for hours every single night since that day."

Akaashi's indifferent features gave away nothing. You put an arm around his waist, drawing circles on his lower back unconsciously.

"Come inside," Akaashi replied after several moments of thought. You slipped underneath his arm, drawing your hand away from his back, before disappearing into the kitchen to make tea.

Once the tea was done, you returned to the living room, seeing Akaashi sitting there, his eyes glowing, the green had increasingly taken over the blue. His father looked almost exactly like him, except his hair curled around his neck and he was slightly taller than his son.

Akaashi's eyes met yours as you entered the room, making your way to where they were sitting, before placing two cups of tea on the table.

"Excuse me." Akaashi said, slipping away from you and his dad, before disappearing up the staircase to his room.

His dad studied you, his blue eyes memorizing everyone of your features. You smiled at him, of course it was fake, but nonetheless it was believable. He recognized you, although a part of you wish he didn't.

"Ah, (f/n) you're back and alive. What a surprise. You've grown into quite the young woman," You dismissed his compliment with a curt nod. You didn't even realize a part of you was hurting, until it grew so large that you struggled to reply to him. You weren't sure exactly how to word what you wanted to say, until you gave up on trying not to be rude.

"Why did you leave them?" You asked straight up, your ability to study people kicked in. You processed his reply, noticing how he fiddled his fingers like your boyfriend did. You also noticed how attached to his keys was a small I.D picture of a child that sat in his lap, the photo was most definitely not Akaashi nor his sister.

His father didn't reply, your straight forward question had caught him off guard. "-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude." You added onto the end of your sentence, hoping he would relax slightly. Indeed it did. His stature eased, and a small smile made it's way to his face. He felt his keychain, twirling the small I.D resting on it in his hand, away from your view. Little did he know you already noticed, why was he trying to hide it from you? Akaashi wasn't even in the room anymore.

Just looking at the man and the way he hid that photo from you was enough to upset you. "Wait, nevermind, please don't tell me, because no excuse or fault found against them will ever be good enough for you to have walked out on such amazing people." You said, changing your mind, you didn't want to hear what he had to say, because it would never be enough to convince you that what he did was right.
