Lucas does stretches during his routine physical therapy appointment and afterward is directed to relax.

"How do you feel?" His doctor asks. Lucas stares at the glasses that rest on the edge of the doctor's nose, like a librarian.

"I'm good, better, stronger." Lucas answers, a very proud look on his face.

He suddenly clenches onto a his shirt, tightening the fabric into a ball. He squints his eyes, in pain for a moment, and then dizzily returns his gaze to his doctor.

"You okay?" The doctor jots down notes on his notepad

Lucas counts to ten, takes a deep breath and nods his head.

The doctor scribbles more and then sets the notes down on a counter, "I see you've been working on controlling your aggression."

Lucas nods, "I don't want to hurt the ones around me, and that's why I'm working on it."

"Good job. Well, you've done enough for today, I'll see you in a few weeks." He smiles and then walks away, confident with Lucas' improvement.

Lucas has been homeschooling for the past two months and hasn't spoke to anyone other than his mother. He actually hit his mother once because he had a migraine and she was shouting at him to clean his room.

He's regretted it ever since and refuses to allow Maya around him until he's better.

He even took the key she's had since they were little, and hid it inside his room so she can't come in from the window.

Meanwhile, Maya has been trying to do well in school, because they graduate in two weeks,

"Do you think he still likes me?" Maya asks and then before Riley can begin to answer Maya says, "Of course he does."

She spins around in a chair in their room and then stops, "What if the accident changed him, and he forgets about me?"

Riley rolls her eyes, "Maya, you're overthinking. I'm sure everything is fine."

"Am I though?" Maya asks and Riley grabs Maya's wrist and drags her over to Lucas' apartment. "Knock on his door and find out."

Maya looks at the door, and the Riley. She takes a deep breath, and Riley nods her head at her friend before walking away.

Maya knocks on the door, and frowns when she sees Lucas' Mom at the door.

"Hi Judy." The blonde greets, plastering a fake smile on her face.

"Maya Hart, you look a little slutty in that uniform." She states and blocks the doorway protectively.

"Aren't you, I don't know, a little too old to be making comments like that?" Maya taunts, a smirk on her face.

Judy glares at the teenage girl, "Why are you here?"

"To see Lucas." Maya replies simply and Judy laughs, "You think he wants to see you?"

Maya feels her stomach churn, and her smile falls, "He doesn't?"

Judy shakes her head no, "Sorry dear, he told me you were pathetic and requested for me to never let you in."

"That-He would never say something like that." Maya argues but Judy keeps a confident stance.

"He's a good actor, my son has been playing yo-"

"MOM. What the hell?" He asks, arriving from the hall. He just finished his physical therapy.

Maya turns to face him and it's like he's seeing him for the first time. She runs over and hugs him tightly, he hugs her back, reminiscing over everything about her.

Judy clears her throat and the teens separate, but Maya has her hand curled inside Lucas'.

Lucas pulls Maya into the apartment with him, ignoring his mom. He locks his bedroom door, to keep his nuisance of a mother out.

When he turns around, Maya has already taken the liberty to look around. She studies a few bottles of painkillers until her eyes fall upon the key with her name on it. She picks it up and raises her eyebrow at Lucas.

He sighs, "I can explain."

"....Are you mad at me?" She asks, "Or am I too slutty, for you?"

He searches for the right words to say, but nothing comes to mind.

"Is it that I'm not good enough?" She continues and he takes the key from her hand and puts it back down, "You're more than just 'good enough.'" He replies and holds her hands.

"I've been through a lot lately, and coping with everything hasn't been easy." He starts and she furrows her brows, "I could of helped-"

"No you couldn't of. You don't understand, and not ready to tell you about all that I've been through. Not until I'm stronger." He tells her.

Maya shakes her head, "But... I mean, you don't have to be strong to talk to me Lucas. I've known you since we were kids, don't you think it's been enough time to be honest to me about everything you've felt? Especially since we're dating."

"We're dating?" He asks and she lets out a huff, "I guess not." She takes the initiative to storm out and leave, and Judy smirks at the sight of the young girl's upset expression.

(A/N: I'm such a crabby person. I didn't update at all this week and I'm super sorry. My schedule is so flipping busy.)
