Quickly, I throw the covers off my body and feel the cold ground touch my toes.
The clock says it's 2:16 a.m.
I walk around my room in a circle.
It was just a kiss. STOP DREAMING!
No it wasn't! It was THEE kiss.
But it was on the cheek! It's not like it was on the lips.
My thoughts raged on inside my head.
Does this mean that he likes me now? Or has he always? Wait, do I like him?
I place both of my hands on my sweaty forehead. I'm still wearing the clothes I went to bed in. A grey tank top and blue plaid comfortable shorts.
Quietly, I walk into the bathroom and run the water cold. Harshly, I slash water in my face.
Once I'm done, I grip the edge of the sink tightly.
Maybe getting fresh air will help.
Swiftly I throw on a plain white t-shirt and jeans. With quick fingers, I braid my hair to the side.
Grabbing the key to my room and slipping it in my back pocket, I walk out of my room.Everything seems to be eerily quiet. I walk toward the elevator and press the 'L' button. The elevator car descends downward.
Still a little sleepy, I almost miss the doors opening. Without thinking, I stick my hand in between the closing doors. The doors stutter and then open up again.
I step through and walk out the doors of the building.
Absolutely no people are on the streets, leaving me alone.
Walking to no where specifically, the silence triggers my mind run wild.
There's no need to deny your feelings for him. You know he likes you back.
Shut up. Amber said that he was trouble. I don't need a bad ass boyfriend right now.
Who said he was all that bad in the first place? Has he proven to you he couldn't be trusted yet?
No.
Exactly.
Suddenly, I think about Collin. How his eyes are the same color as my own. His blonde hair is more like gold when you think about it. When he smiles, I can't help but smile myself.
Told you so.
Shut up.
You're the one who keeps having brain conversations with yourself.
"HEY!" someone yells at me.
I whip around and see 3 guys coming toward me. All of them look about a year older than me. They are wearing jeans and black and silver leather coats.
Backing up from the guys, I try to remain calm.
Too bad my heart had other plans.
My back hit a hard surface. Cranking my neck just a little, I see I'm backed against a space between two different buildings. The space looks just like an alley.
I'm dead.
"What do you want?" I ask with more courage than I feel.
"Oh, not much." says the guy in the middle. "We'd just like the pleasure to met the girl who got our dearest friend, Jack into trouble."
The other two chuckled in unison.
"Well, it's certainly NOT an honor to met you." I say with 100% sarcasm.
This time, all three of them laughed.
As if they didn't catch my rudeness, the guy on the left starts to talk.
"I heard you stepped up and took Collin Eastman's place. You challenged Jack just to save him from being broken."
