OH MY GOD! Thank you guys so much for the 1k reads! I really appreciate it. This is a chapter and the next one is for all of you who like Collin and Katilynn together. I was trying to think of a ship name for them, but I can't think of one (fourtris, clace, perabeth, other ship names that don't have anything to do with books, etc.) Please continue to Vote and Comment:)

*******
After that meal with my dad I only saw him three more times.
The first time he was talking to Trisha. That wasn't exactly something I wanted to interfere with although I was a little curious to what they were talking about.
During that same day I saw my dad talking to Trisha he invited me to take a walk with him. The two of us went and just made small talk about basic things.
The last time was when he came to say good bye to me.
A knock banged on my apartment door at 6 o'clock last night. My father told me he had to return home for that the government would sense his disappearance.
With a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, he left.
Now it's the next day. I haven't spoken to Collin since I said goodbye to him and went out for a meal with my father.
Alone, I walk to training.
For once I'm early to training. Only 5 other people stand in the room with me. Alicia hadn't arrived yet. Collin and Amber are no where to be found either.
Out of my peripheral vision I notice a girl with blonde hair and green eyes approaching me.
She stops right in front of me.
May I help you?
"Hi, my name is Alika. Your Asher's daughter, right?" she asks.
"Um, yeah." I say.
"That's cool. I've seen you around here before. Are you new here?"
"Yes."
"Oh. How long have you been here for?" Alika asks me.
"About a month." I say casually.
"Cool. I've been here for a year. Would you like a tour of the entire place? I mean, it can get pretty confusing to navigate down these streets."
She has a point. I only know how to get from my apartment to the training room and back. I remember my dad pointing out certain buildings when he was here, but I don't really remember any of them.
"Sure. Sounds fun." I say with a smile.
I turn to look at the entrance and see Collin and Amber.
Collin walks in with his arm around Amber. Both of them wear the same smile. Bright and happy.
Alika turns to see who I'm looking at.
"Oh," she says with a small smirk forming on her face. "Collin Eastman. Do you like him?"
My face turns a dark red. Thank god the lights aren't on full blast yet because then she'd see my tomato looking face at the moment.
"He's my... er... um.. boyfriend." I say quietly.
Alika's eyes go dark, almost filling with hatred, but they drain just as quick.
"Oh." is all Alika says.
Dozens of people fill into the training room all at once.
"Attention people!" I hear Alicia say at a loud tone once the room is jam packed.
Everyone in the room goes silent and turns to face her.
"Today we will be learning about punching techniques in case you are ever in need to defend yourself with nothing but your hands. We like to call it hand-to-hand combat." Alicia says.
Alicia goes into a full demonstration of how things should look, but I'm not paying attention.
My stomach lets out a small growl.
I forgot to eat breakfast and now I'm dying for something to eat.
*******
When I get into my apartment after training, I automatically flop on my bed.
Within minutes, I'm sleeping.
"Only the weak are aloud to give up." Alicia says.
I'm standing in front of a punching bag with red fabric over it.
With deadly grace and accuracy, she hits the bag five times making the chain sway that's holding it from the ceiling.
I stare at my own punching bag. It's attached to a silver chain too.
"Katilynn! Let's go!" Alicia says.
My face flushes. Looking around, I expect to see everyone staring at me with smirks on there faces. But no one is there.
Just about two minutes ago this room as filled with people hitting the bags with their hands.
Now I'm the only one here.
"Now." Alicia says.
My eyes turn to look directly at her. Something is off.
I blink three times and see Alicia with snake eyes and green scaly skin.
Biting my lip, I muffle my scream.
My hands connect with the punching bag each time making it sway slightly.
Suddenly, the lights go out.
I freeze.
Alicia has disappeared.
A single light comes on and I see a boy in front of me.
Fear courses through me.
"How could you?" Collin asks me weakly.
I blink.
Collin is on the ground in front of me with a bloody nose and bruised face.
"I- What did I do?" I ask him, falling to my knees.
Tears fall from my eyes.
He screams.
My eyes fly open.
I'm sweating and my heart is racing.
A knock bangs on my door. I jump.
Slowly, I pad over to the door and open it.
"Listen, it's really late at night. What could you possibly need-" I start sleepily, but no one is there.
I look down and see a small piece of paper with my name on it.
After picking up the paper, I shut my door and walk back to bed.
Cautiously, I open the paper.
A note.
Only a few words are on the page, but the handwriting is definitely a guys.
Collin.
I smile and read the note.
Tomorrow meet me at the fighting stage. 6 o' clock sharp. Dress nice. I love you. I'll be waiting.
