Evelyn's POV
Me and Carl have all the same classes together just great except for 7th period.Luckily we didn't have to sit together but in our first class and 3rd ,we where doing work that whole period so it was alright .The rest we got to choose where we could sit and I knew at least 1 person so that was good.

Finally it's time to go home I walk out of school like I always do I start to walk home when I hear a familiar voice "wait up baby girl"

a smile starts to curl on my lips but I made sure he couldn't see it. I stoped "I thought we agreed to not call me that Gallagher"

he smirks "it's only fair if you get to call me something that's not my name I get to call you something that's not yours

"I laughed "I've only called you that once" I say 

"okay okay but remember it Carl not Gallagher " he says

"okay Carl" I drag his name out.
He smiles this honestly I've never seen him smile twice in one day.

"so what are you about to do" he says Breaking the silence .

"Actually I was going to your house to hang out with Debbie" .

"cool I will walk you to my house"he smirks right after he says it .

I just laughed we get to the Gallagher house hold he runs up to the gate and leaves it open for me than the door "thanks Carl " I say walking through the door

"no problem Evey " I look at him all I could do was think really dude really .Its almost like he read my mind he smiles

"you said I couldn't call you baby girl not Evey "

I shrug showing that I agree.We both go to the kitchen and drop our stuff.I walk towards Fiona "hey is Debbie up in her room "

I ask her "yeah you know where her room is " she smiles and pats me on the back.
Carl's POV
Dang is the only thing I can think I just smile to myself.

"Why you look so happy"Fiona says smiling.

"I don't really know"is the only thing I can say.

"I heard you and Evey having a actual conversation " she says.

"were science partners and we got all are classes together except for one" I shrug .

Fiona comes and sits next to me at the table "does the Carl Gallagher have a crush on Debbie's life long best friend " all she does is smile at her words.

"no !why you say that ?"I ask wondering what would even make her think that.

"usually you come home pissed from school or go straight upstairs with you book bag and you have that face

"I looked at her confused "what face?"

she just smiled "you look star stuck and you looked her up and down as she went up stairs was a big give away".

I just looked down not sure what to say.She pulls me into a side hug "you don't have to Barry all the feelings you get"

all I do is nod the last time I showed my feelings the girl ran away.I just really started talking to Evelyn I don't want to run her off to.Im not gonna say anything her best friend is my sister for god sake.I would hate myself forever if I made her run off leaving Debbie an behind.Im not gonna put my sister through the pain I went though being left behind.
