"Ashley baby?" You mumble tiredly as you felt the bed dip below you and the door slam shut. You reached over with your hand only to feel an empty space next to you. You groaned, sitting up completely now. Every morning for the last two weeks, Ashley would get up super early and disappear. Each time you asked her where she had gone to, it would turn into some big fight.
You reached over for you phone to check the time. "6:26am" you read to yourself. It was still pretty dark outside, but the sun was just beginning to rise. There was no way you would be able to go back to sleep now, so you sat there.
"She'll be back soon..." you mumbled quietly. You kept trying to ease your thought, but deep down you knew something wasn't right. For the last two weeks your girlfriend had been blowing you off and you've gotten no explanation for the reason why. You didn't want to question her too much to the point where she wouldn't trust you anymore, but you couldn't help but wonder.
You sighed again, but this time you got out of bed, grabbed your coat and slippers. You decided to take a walk outside, not being able to sit in the bed alone any longer.
Right when you stepped out of the door, a cold chill hit your face, causing you to pull your jacket closer to your body.
"Stupid Ash..." you said out loud. You were just honestly sick and tired of her change in attitude. You missed the old her. The warm, loving, sweet Ashley. Now you just felt like a stranger to her....
Your thoughts were stopped as you passed by a small cafe, catching a familiar face as you looked through the window. Your heart stopped once you saw your Ashley sitting at a table...with another woman.
You probably would've thought the two were friends, that was until you saw Ash reach over to kiss on the lips. For some reason you just stood there, feeling numb. You couldn't even remember the last time Ashley took you out in public...on a date.
You looked down at the promise ring that she had given you on your second date. At that moment you thought the both of you would last forever, but clearly not anymore. You took off the ring and set it on the near table outside. She would be able to see it once she walks out.
You turned your body around, making your way back to your home, one tear managing to slip out. Who knew your fairytale would come to an end like this....
Thank you guys for all the love! This didn't take me very long to write, but let me know what you guys think! -Angela
