A/n- I didn't realize how short that last chapter was😬 many of you asked for a part two so here ya go!!
"And here's some devastating news from our latest headline...pop singer/song writer, Halsey is experiencing great tragedy after the death of her 58 year old mo-"
Your head instantly snapped to the side once you noticed Ash standing with the remote in her hand.
"I'm sick of these bastards making news out of my fucking family. Are you seriously just gonna sit and watch this y/n?" She asked. Your tongue went dry and no words escaped your mouth.
A few days after Ash received the news she was a complete mess. Everyone told you that it would take some time for her to return to her usual self but nothing had changed. Yes it was only a few days but you knew she had gone through way worse.
Ashley turned to walk back to her room that she had kept you out of for what seemed like years. You wanted to give her space so you decided to sleep on the couch to keep to yourself, but that was besides the point. Even though it wasn't you who lost someone it felt as if you had somewhere deep down. Every place you went paparazzi followed while making sure a microphone was held to your face at all times.
It was as if you were in a movie you didn't even want to be in.
"Can I talk to you....?" You whispered softly outside the shut door where your girlfriend was hiding inside. You wanted to at least try and make her feel okay even though you couldn't. A few moments passed by and the doorknob began to turn softly, allowing you access.
A strong sour smell hit your nose instantly, you didn't realize that left herself in her room for the passed week.
"Talk..." you were surprised by the tone of her voice. It was so much like the old her....
"I understand that you're hurt Ash...I know the feeling, but we both know if your mom was here, she wouldn't want you to be like this. She would want you to pick your head up and move on..." you lifted her chin gently with your finger, getting a good look at her faded eyes.
She sniffled a bit more before responding to you. It took her a minute before she finally opened her mouth. "That's the thing...e-everyone including you w-wants me to pick myself up, I can't y/n. Not now, not as soon as you or my mom want me to."
Her words were short yet they had a lot of emotions behind them. You wanted to hold her and tell her she just needed some time, but she's already heard that enough. Your thoughts were interrupted by her voice once again.
"I have to meet with my dad tomorrow and figure out... the funeral stuff. " she paused in between her sentence as if she was lost in her own words. "Do you need m-"
"No...I just need my family right now y/n..." you pretended to hold yourself together after hearing her answer.
She needed space so she probably wasn't even thinking of what she was saying to you.
You sighed leaving her room and going back to your spot on the couch. You felt drained. You knew you could only do so much to help your girlfriend feel better, but all your efforts continued to blow up in your face.
All you wanted was for Ash to be okay, but for now you had to accept the fact that she wouldn't be for awhile.
