That's Daniel up there!

Iona's POV

"Where are you going?" Daniel asks me, walking down the hallway at school.

"Wyoming," I say walking faster, trying to get to the office in time to get all my work that I would need.

"But why?" He looks confused. "You're all I've got." He says sadly. I look at him with soft eyes.

"I'm sorry but I can't stay here, not with everything going on."

It had been like three weeks since Aleks and I split. This past week I had told Daniel about the baby and Aleks and even Jason. He had been a great friend about it. At first he was really mad at Aleks for leaving me the way he did but then I told him to forget about it. I had forgotten about it.

I had to leave because I was getting a little bigger everyday but not much just enough for people to recognize that my super flat stomach was no longer a flat, abs stomach. To someone who had never saw me before, I didn't look pregnant, just someone with a little tinsey bit of a gut. I couldn't hide it much longer though.

There was only about five weeks left of school so I was just getting the tests and stuff that I would need to graduate. I would come back two weeks after school lets out and then a week later I would graduate. I would be even bigger by then but a graduate gown would hide that.

"So when are you leaving?" Daniel just wouldn't drop the subject.

"This weekend," I say turning the corner. Daniel sighs and looks the other way.

"I know, it sucks Daniel, but I'll be back for graduation," I say putting a hand on his shoulder. He looks at my hand on his shoulder. He looks up at me and smiles. Daniel had become like a brother I never had. It was nice to have someone supporting me. But now I had to go home, to my real home, and explain everything to my family.

"I just don't understand why you have to leave," he says pouting.

"Because staying here isn't doing me any good. It's a little difficult to move on when He's still here and I'm still here," I turn the corner and walk into the office. Speak of the devil. Aleks is in the office when I walk in and he looks like he's not leaving for a little bit, he was talking to another teacher. I walk in with Daniel and Aleks' eyes flash across us. He frowns for a split second and then averts his eyes back to who he's talking to.

I ignore him and go to the lady behind her desk. "Hi, I'm here to pick up all my work," I tell her.

She thinks for a moment. "Oh yes! Just a second," She gets up from her desk and disappears into a different room to get my stuff. She comes back out holding a thick file. She leans over her big desk and hands me the file.

"Everything is in there," She says smiling. I take the file from her. Then her smiles disappears.

"I was sad to hear that you are leaving," She gives me a sympathetic look. Aleks' and I's heads snapped in each other's direction. This was news to him and I involuntarily turned to see his reaction. Our eyes locked. I loved staring into those dark, mysterious eyes. Everytime I look into them, you can just tell there is a softer side to him, instead of his bad ass look. This time, I saw sadness. I saw anger. I saw regret. I saw love. I take a step toward him and then remember we are in school.

I rip my gaze away from him and lower my eyes to the floor. I turn on my heel and walk out of the office. Aleks just stares at me, shock and disbelief all over his face.

As I walk out of the office, Daniel joins me. "You want to study for a little bit?"

Tears well up in my eyes. I look down and walk faster. "Lets just get out of here," I say turning icy on him. I go back to my locker and get everything. Today was my last day here for a long time. It takes me awhile to get my locker cleaned out and when I do, Daniel is no longer waiting on me. He must have left. That kind of made me even more mad at everything. I started walking towards the student parking lot doors.
