Adam's pov

I look at my target, I'm being payed big bucks for killing this guy, I don't know much about him but supposedly, there was an alternative I could just torture the guy till I had the information that I needed, but where's the fun in that. I followed the guy to his apartment and got out my sniper rifle, and aimed at his bedroom window, looking through the scope I don't pull the trigger, I watched as he undressed, his toned body stood out and I blushed * holy crap, that guys built good...really good* I just watched him, my eyes landed on his package once his pants were off, I blushed even more* no! He's a target, he has to go* I position the gun again but I stop again, my feelings take over * he'll just leave you like the others* I growl, he turned out the lights " I won't be merciful tomorrow” I head back to my place for the night.

John's pov

I was so upset I just found out that my boyfriend cheated on me with a close friend of mine, I got dressed and headed to the roof of my apartment building“ why why why, why can't I just be happy with someone” tears streamed down my face, my sobs echoed through the quiet morning, I heard footsteps behind me but I don't care, I hope they push me off of this roof and end my miserable existance“ hey.....are you okay?” I looked over my head to look at the source of the voice, the male was a little bit older than me, he had curly brown hair and had sunglasses on“....yea......i...... Guess" the guy didn't look convinced “I don't believe you, something is wrong with you cutie” I give him a questioning look “ cutie? Since when did I say that you could give me a nickname?” they guy blushed could it be possible, could I really have another shot at...love
“sorry, I just don't understand how an adorable guy like you could be upset, don't you have a boyfriend or girlfriend to make you happy?”I frowned “ my boyfriend cheated on me for several weeks, I only just found out about it” he looked at me and sat down
“ you know....I'm in the same position as you, my wife cheated on me and now I don't even get to see my son......I'm not even sure if he's mine” I looked at him “ I'm John....what's your name?” he looked at me for a bit and smiled “ Names Adam, nice to meet you John” I hold my hand out to him waiting for him to shake it, he looked hesitate but took it anyway.

Adam's pov

I couldn't do it, I can't kill him, he's so cute and sweet and nice and funny, he cares about what I have to say, I love him. I went to my contracter “ I won't do it!” he looked at me with a questioning look “ what do you mean?” I take a deep breath “ I won't kill him, I won't kill John!" he looked disappointed “ guess I'll get another hitman to kill him, get out of my office!” I walked out* I have to warn him* . I drive to John's place quickly* please be alive* I park in the parking lot and run up to his apartment and knock on the door, the door opened and John stood there confused "Adam? Why are you here so late?” I pushed him inside ruffly“hey! What are you Mgh!” I grabbed his shirt and pulled his lips to mine, he froze for a good while before kissing me back,my arms wrapped around his neck while his went to my waist, we broke apart for air “I...i didn't know you felt that way towards me” I put my hands on either side of his head“ there is something that I have to tell you, please don't be mad at me for saying this”, he sat down on the couch and listened to me, his face was clearly one of shock but also a little bit hurt
“You were going to KILL ME!"I nodded sadly“ but the only reason I didn't was because......i feel in love with you, and every time I was given the chance to end you, I just couldn't, and now you have people after you because I couldn't finish the job....im so so sorry John” he looked away from me, I looked down“ I know that you probably don't want to See Me ever again, but I can protect you” he didn't respond.

John's pov

I couldn't believe it......Adam the guy I've had a crush on was sent to kill me, and here I thought that I would get a second chance at love. I looked at him, he was so upset and looked genuinely sorry for trying to kill me, I sigh and grab him, pulling him close to me“ I'll forgive you, I just don't want to be lied to again” he stared at me and smiled “ I promise” I hold him close to me, I lifted his chin and made him look at me“ I love you Adam...i never thought I would get another chance after what happened last time” he smiled and we shared a passionate kiss.

The assassins were caught in the act, and their boss was taken to jail, Adam and John live happily together and have two kids
