The kingdom of Trordon has always been a monarchy. Since the beginning, the King and Queen were expected to have at least two children. One would be the heir to the throne, the other would be married to the heir of another kingdom to form an alliance of sorts.

King Amir and Queen Elizabeth had two daughters, after many miscarriages. Nine years after the birth of their youngest child, their eldest daughter, Charlotte, passed in her sleep.

The King knew that they were incapable of producing another child. He also knew that if they told the public of their awful news, the kingdom would erupt into chaos. Amir and Elizabeth mulled over how they could deal with their problems.

While they were distraughtly thinking of a plan, their youngest daughter Ravenna came to them.

"Father," she cried out, falling to the ground in despair. Her dress was clearly drenched in tears and mascara. "I can't do it, Father. I can't be the heir. Please, please don't make me the heir."

Ravenna only went to the royal lessons, that her sister went to daily, half of the time. She spent most of her time in the castle's humongous library researching kingdoms that she may be married into. She delved herself into other cultures and regions daily.

As he watched his daughter pleading in despair, he thought of all the citizens looking up at the royal family, wanting nothing more than to be the royal heir to the Trordon throne. "Don't worry, Rave," he said, an idea planting itself into his brain.

He fled out of the throne room that he and his wife had been thinking in, and hurried down the hall towards the filing room, almost running into several guards. Once he got to the room, he flung himself at the filing cabinets holding the files of all of the citizens of Trordon, reaching for the drawer holding the eighteen-year-old girls' files. He leafed through the files, narrowing the selection down to twelve girls, before rushing back to the throne room.

Once in the room he immediately veered toward the thrones, towards his wife, making sure to avoid stepping on his daughter, still crumpled on the floor.

"Elizabeth! I found a solution, we just need to pick one of these girls. They want to be the new princess and heir to the throne so bad; all we have to do is pick one that can pass as our Charlotte." as he said her name he felt a sob climb out, punctuating the end of the sentence.

They sat together in the throne room once again, mulling over the 12 girls. After hours of scrutinizing and comparisons, they cut down the options to 5 girls. One of which's name was also Charlotte. They decided to go to a few choice advisers to pick the new heir.

"I like her," one administer said pointing at a profile from one of the files.

"No, no. This one has way better eyes," another said with defiance.

"This one has the best hair," a third said pointedly.

"STOP! STOP! STOP! We are looking for the future QUEEN! She can't just be another pretty face, she has to be capable." King Amir reminded the room full of advisers.

"I think this one is the best choice," a voice spoke up from the back. It was the peace adviser, who had been quietly mulling over the choices at hand while the others fought and argued.

"She is pretty," he said looking over at the three advisers who had been fighting over looks. All three glanced away turning a deep shade of red whilst wringing their hands in antisipation.

"She is used to hard work because she grew up on a farm with little money and has to work extra hard to feed the 4 other kids in her family. She would also provide a new insight to the kingdom because she has lived in a position that we don't know all that much about; she would know how to fix problems when the citizens get upset because she would know what she would have wanted and what would have kept her happy." he continued.

"Very good, thank you, Riebus." the king replied happily. He walked over to the file noting the name, Charlotte, and smiled.

"Should we send a carraige to Charlotte Alcott's family, with the news?" Riebus asked.

"Yes, yes that sounds fine." he replied already thinking about how it would be with a new "daughter" in the palace.

The Alcott Family,

The attached is not to be discussed with anyone else no matter the reason. Disregard for said "rule" will be considered an act of treason.

We are sad to inform you that we lost our dear Princess Charlotte, heir to the throne, two weeks ago, in her sleep. She was almost of age and our other daughter is nine years younger leaving over nine years before a new queen would be appointed. She also doesn't wish to be queen, and the kingdom will erupt into chaos if we release any of this to the public.

Your daughter looks remarkably like our Charlotte. The Royal family and their advisers have thoughtfully discussed whether your daughter would be a good queen and have decided that she, indeed, would.

If your family can live without her, we would be honored to make her a part of our family. Of course, if you are to accept, there will be rules and incentives.

You would be able to visit with Charlotte during or near holidays and a few other select times.

You would also get money to replace the money Charlotte would normally make with her jobs as well as extra to get you situated and comfortable in the province surrounding the castle where you would be better protected.

You would, however, have to give up your old life, though you cannot tell anyone outside of your direct family.

Lastly, you are to follow the rules of any other in the castle and in the province surrounding the castle.
