Dream

"Brighton!" My friend Josie shouts from the top of the stairs.

"Yeah?" I shout back.

"You ready to go?" She asks walking downstairs and into my room.

"Oh yeah, I'm dressed." I say answering her question. "So, who's this boy you're setting me up with?" I ask her.

"You'll find out soon! By the way, he'll be here in about five minuets to pick you up, so be prepared, bye!" She says leaving me wondering who this blind date is that she set me up with.

"Wait!" I shout just before she could leave my house.

"Yeah?" She answers.

"Thank-You for setting this up." I say.

"No problem, now enjoy yourself, make sure to be you, I know he'll like that." She says before leaving, and shutting the door with a bang. I sigh and quickly run my hand through my hair, I walk back downstairs to my room where I pick up my phone, then go into the bathroom. I look at my hair debating whether or my I should do something to it.

Just before I decided to do something, I hear my doorbell ring. I then jog up the stairs, and quickly pat down my hair before sliding my phone in my pocket and opening the door. I look up to see a boy, maybe my age, looking at his shoes.

"Hi, are you Josie's friend?" He asks.

"Yeah, I'm Brighton." I say nodding.

He smiles and says, "I'm Ashton."

I smile and shut the door behind me, then ask, "Where to?"

He leads me out to his car, then says, "I'm really cliché for doing this but, we could go see a movie and get dinner?"

I shrug and say, "That sounds good." We then both get in his car, and begin to head to the movie place.

When we got there, we went to the line to order tickets. "Uhh, what do you want to see?" Ashton asks me.

"Um, World War Z?" I ask sounding somewhat confused.

He laughs and says, "I wanted to see that, it sound like a good movie."

I then say, "Yeah, I wanted to see it." He then says to the ticket lady, "Two tickets to World War Z." She prints out the tickets and Ashton gives her the money. He turns around and we walk into the theater.

"You didn't have to pay, I hope you know that, don't even argue, I know it's just the nice thing guys do." I say to Ashton as we get told which theatre. We then he's to theatre 9, agreeing not to get popcorn or drinks because it would only make us not hungry for dinner. We eventually found seats, and sat in them waiting for the movie to start. Eventually the movie started and I settled in my seat and began to watch the movie.

When the movie ended, I stood up and so did Ashton, he then asked, "How was the movie?"

I smile and say, "It was really cool."

He laughs and asks, "So now where should we go to eat?"

I grin and say, "I don't know, you can pick."

He thinks for a moment then says, "Panda Express!"

I laugh and say, "You're lucky I'm obsessed with Panda Express or I wouldn't be very happy right now, most first dates don't include take-out Chinese food." He laughs and takes my hand, then leads me out the door and to his car.

When we got there and ordered our food, we sat at a table and began to talk to each other. "So, are you from around here?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm guessing you are too?" He says laughing slightly.
