The Muted Luna (Sequel to TASW)

Chapter 13

                           (Bella's POV)

       I closed the door and watched as Eva was pulling at her hair.

       I got on my knees in front of her and just started talking.

       "You know, coming back from being with Jo, was hard." She stopped rocking her body but still pulled at her hair.

    "I was okay with talking because when you spent so long being without people it finally feels good to actually talk to someone. Even if its just a couple of words." She stopped pulling at her hair and was now listening.

"I know its hard to trust someone, I get it. So we can just eat in here if you want. I'll stay with you just so you don't have to be alone." Eva didn't bother to look at me as she just sat there.

So I did exactly what she was doing, and just sat there.

I sat on the opposite side of the room in the corner and just watched her.

After about an house, my butt started to get sore.

            Eva was just looking outside of the window, I think she was following the clouds.

Someone knocked on the door, and then walked in.

Eva still didn't care and I was scared she was loosing hope, like she was going to just give up any day now.

Braxton walked in setting a tray down on the bed.

"I was told she has not eaten yet." he said not once looking at me but keeping his eyes on her.

Braxton can play and pretend he doesn't care about Eva but I think we all know the truth.

He's falling for her, but he won't admit it.

On the tray were some grapes, a sandwich, a glass of water, and I think jello in the bowl.

Just then Eva's stomach had growled and I knew she wasn't going to eat if he was in here.

        "You have to go."

He gave me an annoyed look, which I returned but didn't say anything after that.

He took one last glance at her and walked away.

    Eva turned and looked at the door and just starred at it.

I felt like she missed him, or his presence but she doesn't show it when he's here.

I got up and grabbed the plate, setting it down in front of her.

"Here, you should eat." She looked at me and then the food but turned back to the window.

I sighed and decided to mind link Jackson.

"Jackson?"

I waited a little for his response.

"Is everything okay?" He sounded worried which I don't blame him for.

Being away from each other is always hard even if its just for one night.

"Everything is fine, I'm just checking up on you guys. Hows Zander? Did he eat yet?"

I asked missing him too.

"He's okay, hes actually eating pancakes right now, its kind of disturbing to watch."
