I turned my head, blinked my eyes, then turned my head again to find no one standing out there. Huh, maybe a mirage.

I let my eyes close and take rest for once because sleep is always the best way to escape our reality.

---

I was woken up by a commotion in the room.

I slowly opened my eyes and blinked them twice before fully waking up. I hate being woken up from my sleep due to noise.

I got up and sat on my bed and saw that the whole group was standing here in the room and looks like they were talking about a serious issue. Seeing me get up everyone seemed to stop chatting.

"Hey there, how are you feeling?" Mary asked.

"Um... better than what I was feeling the last time I woke up," I replied.

I saw Alice playing with her fingers and Sherry didn't look so happy as well.

I eyed them with a curious look on my face and then asked, "What are you guys hiding from me?"

Alice and Mary made eye contact, as if talking through their eyes. Then Alice walked up to me and said, "Your... your phone. We got a message from someone called Macy. She messaged first telling that she really needed to meet you. I replied back saying that I'm a friend of yours and currently you're injured. After that I didn't get any reply back."

Macy. She said she wants to meet me... but why?

I knew by the looks they were giving that they want some answers as to who this Macy is. Before anyone could ask something I put a fake smile on my face and brushed it off saying smoothly,

"Oh well, Macy is a girl whom I crashed into one day. She needed money to pay the taxi driver and I lent her some money. She wants to give back the money like interest. No big deal, maybe she wanted to meet me for returning the amount."

They nodded, but still they were uncertain whether I was telling them the truth or not. Then John's face brightened as he exclaimed, "Anyways, the first copy of your book is sold! I wanted to be the first one to buy your book though. Looks like there was someone else much more eager to buy your book than any of us."

I smiled happily at that. One copy sold! I wonder who was the one to buy that, though. I'll ask Mr. James about it.

It was like all of us forgot about Macy's message and we started talking non-stop about some random stuff. Sherry surprised us saying that he was secretly writing a book and now it has been completed, and soon he is going to go to some publisher and get his book published.

John said that his mother insisted him to invest and start a business. I know for a fact that John's mother has a very big business and wishes that her son continues it, but she is very supportive of his decision to become an author and suggested that it could be a business related to books, like starting a bookstore or becoming a publisher. John says he is thinking about it.

Mary said her book has been receiving many good reviews and also many people are buying her book. We are surprised yet happy that she has received success so soon. But, even she had to go through many thorns to sit on the roses today.

Alice said that she got a job offer of teaching Literature at a University, but first she wants to reach the aim she joined our university in the first place, and that was becoming a successful writer.

No one heard of Lily since a week, the last time being Sherry seeing her crying in the park. John and Mary got to know we had a fight, but Alice and Sherry kept their mouths shut about the Hailey and M matter.
