Before anyone knew it, 4 days had come and gone. Megumi and Sanosuke were busy taking
pictures of more fish as they swam between the coral.
“Hey, Sano.”
“Whats up?”
“Look at this one.” Sanosuke swam up next to her. She was looking at a large fish with bright orange scales.
“Whats the big deal?”
“Check this.” Megumi shined her light along its side. As she did, its scales took in the light and turned bright yellow. Now it looked like a giant goldfish.
“Whoa, never seen that before.” Sanosuke stated as he took its picture.
“Hey, Miroku! Come over here! You’ve got to see this!” Sanosuke rolled his eyes.
“Don’t bother. He's back on the sunken ship.”
“Again?! Whats his deal? He's been going there every time we dive.”
“Your guess is as good as mine. Although he's really convinced that something was watching us when we found that treasure.” Megumi rolled her eyes.
“Really? Who? The fish? I swear. Sometimes I wonder if he and I are really related.” Meanwhile, Miroku was swimming through the ship looking around.
“I know I saw something here that day. I couldn’t have imagined it.” While Miroku searched the rooms, Shippo followed him. As Shippo closely followed Miroku, something caught his eye. As he swam over to it, he tried to pull it out with his paws. Miroku looked over at him.
“What you got there, boy?” Shippo let out a growl as he suddenly pulled out an old rusty sword from behind the rubble.
“A sword?! Good find, boy!” Shippo let out a happy bark as Miroku took it from him. Miroku carefully examined the sword.
“This sword has an old craftsmanship to it. It looks even older than this ship. First we find all that treasure and now a sword. The investigation groups are going to want us to investigate new places for them more often.” Shippo let out a happy bark. Miroku then tied the sword to his suit. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of a shadowy figure out of the corner of his eye. As he turned his head, the figure suddenly disappeared.
“Hey! Hold on!” As fast as he could, Miroku swam around the corner. But when he got there, there was nothing there.
“Hey, guys, you there?!” Miroku called on his intercom.
“Hey, stranger, what's the idea going off on your own like this?” Megumi teased.
“There’s no time for that, Megumi! There’s something down here!”
“Come on, dude. Not this again. We keep telling you, you’re imagining things.” Sanosuke remarked.
“Not this time, guys. I caught a glimpse of it.” Sanosuke and Megumi looked at each other surprised.
“What was it?” Megumi asked.
“I’m not sure. It swam off before I could get a good look at it.”
“Any idea what it could be?” Sanosuke asked.
“No, I don’t. All I know is that something has taken an interest in us.” Sanosuke thought for a minute.
“Well, we’ve been down here for a while. Let's head back up to the surface for now. Miroku you meet us there and watch your back.”
“Yeah, sure thing.” Miroku turned towards Shippo.
