Two days later, Megumi and Miroku were having a relaxing afternoon in their home. While Miroku was going over his usual notes, Megumi was sitting in her chair reading a book. Just then, Sanosuke came in.

“Hey guys, how's it going?” Megumi looked up from her book with an annoyed look on her face.

“For crying out loud, Sanosuke. I know you’ve been coming over almost everyday for years, but would it kill you to knock for a change?” Sanosuke just grinned.

“Nah, you already know it's me when Shippo barges in barking hello to you.” Megumi just rolled her eyes. Sanosuke held up the morning paper.

“Knowing you guys, you probably didn’t read the morning paper. So I'll just tell you the big news.” Miroku looked up from his notes.

“What big news?” Sanosuke grinned.

“Turns out that Konzake guy had to start closing down his aquariums one by one.”

“Konzake? You mean the guy who kidnapped Sango?”

“Yeah that’s him. After we helped Sango escape, his business started taking a major turn. Seeing as how he was only able to show her for two days, people started assuming that the whole mermaid princess thing was some kind of trick after all. Seeing as how everyone knows a mermaid can't walk on land, her whole escape idea sounds really hard to believe. There’s even a rumor saying that Konzake intentionally shattered her tank to make it look real. Now people are assuming that all of his exhibits are either also fake or not that big of a deal and are refusing to come to any of his aquariums. And no customers means no business.” Megumi started laughing.

“Ha! Ha! Ha! Serves him right. That’s what he gets for keeping our Sango held prisoner.”

“So how many aquariums does he have left?” Miroku asked.

“Including the one where Sango was held captive, less than a handful. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the new one turns out to be his only one.” Miroku smiled.

“Sango, now I can finally assure you, you won't have to worry about being put behind bars ever again. Now I can truly say you’re safe, Sango.” Megumi closed her book.

“I know, how about we go visit her tomorrow? We don’t have anything else to do.” Sanosuke nodded.

“Sounds good to me. I actually just put a new engine in the boat yesterday and have been dying to take it out for a test drive. I say I’m in.” Shippo let out a bark of excitement. Miroku nodded.

“I know I’m good to go.”

“Alright than, we'll leave first thing tomorrow morning.”

The next morning, everyone headed down to the dock to get ready for another fun day of boating. Sanosuke was especially excited about trying out his new upgraded engine. Just then, Megumi jumped up.

“Oh no! I forgot my underwater camera!” Sanosuke looked up from the engine room as he was making some final adjustments.

“So what? Just go buy one from the store down the block.” Megumi looked down and gave him a stern look.

“Sanosuke, the only underwater cameras they have there are the disposable ones. They don’t last more than one full roll and I am not about to waste my money on something that’s only a one time deal.” Miroku stood up.

“I'll run back and get it for you, sis. I forgot my sunglasses anyway.”

“Thanks, big bro. You’re the best.” Miroku jumped off the boat and headed back home.
