For the next weeks to come, Jungkook avoided anything and everything to do with Taehyung. He drove to work, made his own coffee, and even brought his groceries online from the fear that he would maybe bump into him at the store in this small town. He was even reluctant to go to his own private space, the pier, from fear that Tae might be there again. He was extremely confused and scared – anything that had made his life even barely human had disappeared. He no longer took interest in his favourite drama series, music, cooking, nature. His life turned into a robotic, depressing cycle of work, home, sleep; work home sleep.

He became a harder person to work with.

Harder person to be around.

He had become what he had most feared to be in life – one of those mechanical people he saw and complained about, the people who brought the mood of the coffee house down.

He could drain out emotions partially when he was at least working. His work kept him occupied, gave him something to divert his attention. But weekends became the most unbearable parts of his life. Most of the time he took sleeping pills and tried to sleep the weekends through. At the times he really couldn't sleep anymore, he drank alcohol. He didn't turn into a full blown alcoholic overnight, of course, but he drank much more frequently and much more excessively than he ever had before.

Three weeks later, Daisy decided she just couldn't cope with this Jungkook anymore. He was extremely depressing and she couldn't bear it. It wasn't even really for Jungkook's sake that she decided to do something, he had become too depressing and it was actually annoying her. The third Friday after the incident at the pier, she burst into Jungkook's room at 7:30 PM.

"Jungkook oppa!!"

"Mwo."

"I'm taking you out. It's on me."

Jungkook grunted, laughing condescendingly at Daisy's incredulous idea. "That's awfully nice of you Daisy, but I have former engagements."

"I don't think you can really call lying on your bed drowning in sorrow surrounded by pizza as "having plans" Kookie. And drop the formalities. I'm both younger than you and your secretary."

"Daisy, please. Leave me alone before I say something and hurt your feelings."

"I'm sorry, but don't you think it's a bit late to worry about hurting my feelings? You haven't really done much but hurt people left and right for the past three weeks. Come out with me. I'm not asking for much. Just one time. Hanbeondo, Jungkook oppa. Jebal!!"

"Daisy. Please. Please leave me alone. I'm happy at home by myself. I'm sorry if I have hurt you, but I'm going through a lot, lately. I'm really not in the mood to do anything. Just leave me be."

"Jungkook oppayaa!!! Okay. Fine. I wanted it to be a surprise, but if you're not coming with me, I guess I have no choice but to spoil it, if it's the only way to convince you to come. I know you've been having a hard time getting over your previous relationship, so I set you up with a really really nice girl. And I've told her to be at the Italian restaurant down the road in half an hour. This has been a plan since last Thursday, she's been so busy that she could only meet you today. Please don't miss this opportunity, she's really really nice. It'll be really rude if you stand her up. Please."

"Dais-"

"PLEASE Jungkook oppa. PLEEEEAASE!!!"

"Well I-"

"Jebal. JEBAAAL, JEBAL JEBAL JEBAL."

"Oka-"

"Jebal."
