He woke up again at 8 AM, awkwardly slid out of her tight grip, and snuck out of the house after leaving a thank you note for all the "fun" he had.
He was crushed to realize it couldn't be further away from the truth.
He got home and barely made it through the door before starting to cry.
He never cried, none of his friends or family members could ever imagine him doing so.
But he was crying now.
And the strange thing was, the only thing he could think of was his soul-crushing yearning for Taehyung. The desperate longing he felt for his touch.
That sweet, short kiss they had shared together kept playing constantly through his head. That night he spent only hugging him was the happiest night he had ever spent. And he couldn't block any of it out.
It was driving him insane, driving him crazy so much more intensely then it had ever been before. It was like a migraine that fed off his dejection, crushing and torturing his whole existence cruelly, without mercy. It was like a shrill, unimaginably loud sound that he could not tear out of him however hard he tried to scratch it out. He couldn't block it out; it was coming from inside of him.
It was an endless suffocating and drowning that never stopped, and no one was coming. No one could save him now.
He collapsed onto the ground, crumpled, holding onto his head with both arms with all his might. It was as if there was an earthquake that only he could feel, and he was desperately trying to hold on, stay alive as hard as he could.
He couldn't take it anymore. He knew what to do. He slowly started to uncurl himself and slowly reached for his phone. He took a moment to steady his breathing, calming himself down. No one could see or hear him in this state. He adjusted himself to "ready to make contact with other human beings mode". His thumb started shaking ever so slightly, hovering over Daisy's number.
He tapped on the number.
It started to ring.

"Heeeey, oppaaa!! I'm guessing you've had a wonderful time and are calling to thank me!! Well you're welcome. I'm just delighted for you and for Emma. So when are you going to see her again?"
"What? Listen. Daisy. I need to ask you a very important question. Remember that coffee cup I threw away a few weeks ago that had that barista's number on it?"
"Yeees, wae?"
"Did you keep it? Do you still have it?"
"No."
"WHAT? NO! Daisy, whyyy??" Jungkook whined into the phone like a dying horse, as if his whole heart had been ripped out and strangled and stabbed a hundred times.
"Ohmigod Jungkook calm down. I threw away the coffee cup but of course I kept the number. I just knew you had feelings for him. You had a baad case of the love virus!!! Aigoo, you're so cute. You guys were a perfect match!!"
"Daisy, you never even saw us together. And also you were literally just going on about how cute of a couple Emma and I were."
"Well, you see it was between those two. I couldn't quite figure out if you were gay or straight so I kept both potential partner options open."
