chapter vi. CHOiCES

sometimes the wrong choices bring us to the right places.
- author unknown

"i suppose
i made the
wrong
choices"

"and
why,
stella"

"because i
am not
a star, and
have not
defeated
the darkness"

"what about louis?"

"i suppose,
he was the
least
horrible
choice"

"i thought
you
enjoyed
his company,
stella"

"he is
the least
horrible,
ma'am, because
he is still
causing me
pain. but,
i care too much
to leave."

"is that bad?"

"very bad"

----

i suppose,
i liked
the wind.
but it's not
all that
great.

it carries away
everything
you love,
but it
exposes
the truth.

i felt a
presence
beside me;
it wasn't
wind - no -
but a boy.

he sat next
to me,
and his arm
rested
on my shoulder.

without
him there,
it was a lot
colder.

not
even
my sweater
could
help me
keep warm.

but,
he gave it
to me,
so all
the better.

"louis?"

i said,
and
my lips
quivered.

"yes,
stella?"

his voice
made me
shiver.

"what do
you think;
of me?"

"i like you"

"but
i've made
so many bad
choices"

i
tured to
look, into his
grey eyes,
to see them
staring back
at mine.

he smiled,
and shook
his head.

"at least
you're here
now"

i suppose,
i was in
the right
place at
the right time.

because
right then
and there,
on the roof,
under the stars

he kissed me...

and
everything
fell into
place

the stories almost over :o
