We finely moved in and had everything unpacked and spent the first night in our home, we're just leaving to the awards night Tanya's not an actress so she's not up for anything but she made all the outfits and stuff so that's why where going, it's 7.45pm and I'm going to propose at 11.12 when they call her up to thank her and someone's going to hand her a box and walk away I'm so nervous,
"babeee" Tanya called "oh yeah I zoned out" I smiled "you okay we can leave it if you want" she sounds concerned "nah I'm just thinking of us and our home and how we should get a dog or something" I smiled "if you want, if it makes you happy" I kissed her and we stepped out and the lights and cameras flashing, we got to the top when Tanya stopped when she seen a teenager about 13 and she stopped dead in her tracks "Jodie?" she whispered "hey tan" the small girl answered "what are you going here" "I wanted to see you"
"Jodie it's dangerous who's looking after you? " the girl looked away
" Jodie ferry look at me who's watching you"
"no one I'm on my own now"
"okay let's sort this" next thing I know is Tanyas dragged her down to the car "mike take her back to yours please until I'm done"
"of course tan, I'm mike I'll take you to mine until Tanya's back okay," she nodded and got in "thank you" we walked back "I'll explain later" she said I just nodded and we stood got pictures taken and went inside,
It was 10.56 pm and the preforming stopped "we would like to ask a special guest to come up for her hard work all year designing and working hard for us, so please welcome Tanya Black" we all clapped and Tanya handed me her bag and a quick kiss and walked up,
"we would like to give you something to show how much we appreciate your hard work and generosity, " he handed her a bunch of flowers and a card" omg I'm speechless thank you all and I had a great time working with you all" she looked excited and here comes the fella with my box "Tanya can I hold these while you read your card out to us?" she handed them over and took the card from the boy and the medium box I went with medium to throw her off
"Tanya the day you ran into me 5 years ago on your first day in new york and got cheeky with me, for weeks your all I thought about then one day you strut into my office in a handmade sexy black pencil skirt looking flawless looking to be my secretary and you only grew since then then a year later I made a mistake which led you to follow your dreams and I couldn't be prouder but I was hart broken then again 3 years later you strut in to that ball in a tight red dress showing off and again I fell for you all over and How I lose my breath when I wake next to you, your cheeky and are a phyco with out coffee and cheese strings but I love all of your flaws and I want you to know" she looked around to see me on one knee with a ring "Tanya Black will you do me the honner of being Ms. Tanya Parker?" her face was red and tears running down them she sniffed a nod "yes you idiot I'd really like that" she cried the whole room erupted with whistles and claps and balloons fell and I slid the ring on and kissed her,
"I love you" I kissed her again "I know" was all I said and we walked off the stage and sat down and people around us looking at her ring and patting my shoulder, this is what I always wanted, after we walked out picture went everywhere and people clapping and the camera men flashing the cameras and we finely headed home, we had a night of pure bliss and love, and like everything the morning came and we got up
"Tanya who was the Little girl" her eyes popped "shit let's go" we ran to the car and drove to mike's
. Tanya's POV
I seen Jodie last night the small 6 year old I took care of and I seen her older but small and fragile and almost Gray, "Shane the girl last night is Jodie, I took care of her when I was there she was like me never got a look in always last to eat I'd skip meals just so she could eat but when I left I never looked back, she wasn't adopted and left with the nuns back there, and iv no idea what to do Shane" I cried the last part Shane had one hand on the wheel and the other in my thigh "look I love you no matter what okay we'll figure this out okay," he spoke so soft and soon we pulled into a small cosy cottage looking house where mike lived with Leah and Sophia, we got out and knocked on the door it opened so fast "tan we saw you get married on TV last night" Sophia squealed Leah came out hugging me and yapping on when Jodie walked out she looked a lot better wearing skinny jeans and a check shirt "Tanya I'm so happy for you" Jodie ran into my arms "thank you but we've got a lot to talk about " we got in the car and Shane drove "hey Jodie have you eating yet" Shane asked "nope it's only Saturday" that was like a blow to the face "well Jodie were Gonna get breakfast so what do you want?" "I'm not sure what ever really. I don't want to intrude on you Mr. Parker" Shane sighed
"Jodie it's just Shane and any friend of Tanyas is a friend of mine" I smiled. We pulled up at the hotel where we always eat Saturday breakfast, We went inside and got a table straight away, "Mr and miss Parker lovely to see you what can I get you" Josh the waiter about 17 asked while smiling at Jodie "actually Josh what do you recommend Jodie here my cousin is new so she's not sure" I smiled "well ms. Jodie I recommend the pancakes or the French toast" he smiled she smiled they like each other "okay Josh our regular and pancakes and French toast too please" Shane smiled, "okay now explain please" I said
Jodies POV
"I've been running away since Im 10 when Tanya left I got the worst not to the extent of Tanya's but a new kind to me the beatings the cleaning I had to leave school and eventually I seen a photo of you in the paper I hitched a ferry to New York and hitched rides and then I found you, I'm not sure what I was going to say or do but I thought you would be disappointed that I followed you when you tried to leave" I held back tears "father black said I could go back to him and live with him so next week I'm going back" I frowned "stay with us we can look after you" I looked up to see Shane smiling and Tanya with a few stray tears, "I don't want to intrude on you I couldn't possibly be a burden" I said it's the truth "no we'll eat and get it sorted" Tanya smiled at Shane I can tell they love each other,
