Andy and Miaka exited the church and laughed as they walked to Andy's car. Andy was one of Miaka's friends that she grew up with and they carpooled to their church's music school every Tuesday.
"I mean, just make sure you don't actually set the school on fire," Andy said as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"How would I set the school on fire in the first place?" Miaka replied.
"It's you, I don't know what you're capable of. You could somehow get in contact with aliens and tell them to attack the planet by accident."
"You have a good point."
They took a turn down the avenue to reach their houses, but they had no clue what they took a turn for. They drove a few minutes down, keeping their conversation consistent until they saw it. A seemingly 20 foot tall shadow figure crossed the road roughly 40 feet in front of their car. When they saw it, well, screw it, this part is just stupid and not serious at all.
"Oh my gosh, what was that!?!"
"My Lord, it was a KKK member!"
"What the heck, Satan?"
"What?" Andy screeched, causing Miaka to laugh.
"You saw that, right?" Andy asked.
"How could I not. But what the heck was that?" Miaka said seriously.
"It was a shadow of some sort of KKK member."
"I thought it looked like a bear. But how the heck would that manage to happen?"
"I don't know, to be honest."
"You know, it could be a demon for all we know."
Andy and Miaka ended up taking about a few theories as to how they saw the shadow and Andy waking up and seeing a demon, which left Miaka sleepless that night.
Andy pulled into Miaka's driveway and put the car in neutral.
"Wait, we need to name it? What should we name it? How about Carl? No wait, I know a Carl. How about Eddie?"
Miaka let the question sink in before answering.
"How about Spooky Jim?"
"Spooky Jim sounds way cooler than Eddie. So that's it. Spooky Jim the KKK Member."
And so they bid each other farewell until next Tuesday night. Or the next night at church.Yes, this is based on true events if you didn't know.
