The holidays were over come Monday things were back to normal kirky was back at school and Kerry didn't have to deal with him at work, he get off from school at two each day norman normally pick's him up and bring him to the shop she could count on him to do it he had never once let her down he was careful too so she didn't need to worry about Kirby's safety.
Later that day Kerry got home from work to find Kirkland cooking dinner,
"Surprise!" He said meeting her in the kitchen doorway both hands full so he lean in and kiss her
"Hey" he greet her
"Kerry heart was meeting fast due to fright she can't believe he was here doing this now when he should be preparing this go on back to new York ,he got rid of everything out his hand to pick up kirky " got a good day at school ?" He ask
"Yes,and i miss you"
Kirkland smile at Kerry " and I missed you but we're here now ,hungry? " he let the boy wash his hand in the sink dry it with paper towel then set him around the table
Kerry was silent as she watch him he set the table pull out a chair for her ,he wait for her to sit down then he take his seat.
Boneless fish curry in coconut milk and cow beens and vegetables with cornmeal nicely season,and set for dinner it didn't only smells fantastic for it look and taste great ,enough that Kerry in her bad mode she was a trying desperately to hide tell him how good his effort was.
Kirkland later did the dishes while Kerry get kirky prepare for bed,after two rounds of good sex they spend that night in each other's company once again
Kirkland wale her early so they could go a nother round before she was force to get up for she would have to get the boy ready for school.
He passed out after slipping away from her when Kerry came from the shower he was snoring  he look real charming she couldn't believe how she was enjoying waking up with him the few mornings she did,she got kirky ready and drove him to school then went to work
Jake call to find Kirkland but his mother told him she didn't saw him come in he thank her hang up and call his cellphone he pick up after a few rings he sounded as if he was still sleeping ,
"Yow,Kirkland ,where you at man ?" He has an idea but he just wanted to ask "you for got we have busines" Kirkland move the phone from his ear seeking the time "I'm coming now" he hang up push himself up did a few push up on the bedroom floor took a shower then left ,Jake came over smiling when he walk in they greet each other with the usual hand thing and brace chest.
"A nother ass naked night on Kerry's couch again ?" Jake ask Kirkland ignore him walking him out to see how things were going he need the opening to be this Saturday he really love it nodding to Jake "thanks man you came through for me"
"That's what friends are for man" they nod to each other later that evening they ended up in a bar Jake was surprise to see Kirkland drinking vodka he have like three glasses then push the bottle away
"When did this happen?" Jake ask
"I'm in a good mode " Kirkland said "Kerry and I are sleeping together "
"You're using the condoms right?"
"They were kinda finish ,we kinda hit it off just like that"
Jake turn him around "you know they sell "
"It's all good nothing Will happen "
Jake narrow his eyes shook his head turn back to his drink
They observe a moment of silent before any of them speak and they actually did at the same time
"Go ahead man " Kirkland told Jake
"Let I remind you ,you're still married " Jake said"your so called wife can make it difficult for you be careful she doesn't wine up pregnant "
Kirkland look at Jake as if he was talking nonsense he but he said nothing just look ,he head back to Kerry after going home to spend time with his Mon ,they make out on the living room floor he later told her about the studio and the opening at three this Saturday ,Saturday was Kirky's birthday she told him
"Good all the better " he told her he didn't question it until later when they were in bed 
" so the boy is a January person like myself so how old you said he will be ?"
"Four" Kerry lied he lay on his side looking in her face  tell me about his dad"
Her eyes open wider than its use to
"Please"
He never pressure her for any thing
"No" Kerry said turning her back to him he hug her putting his body closer
"We can talk you know that "
He kiss her neck trying to get her back in to the mode as he push in to her he heard her moan and sob he held her tight to him and they came together she was facing him again
"He couldn't be apart of his lift he was too caught up to think about it"
"I'm sorry ,but I'm here for you and for him"
"But you can't ,you're just here now for your wife is not here very soon you will leave " Kerry"he called trying to get her to stop talking for she was saying she didn't want him getting too close to her son and they couldn't continue to have sex like this
"Kerry calm down it's me your nest friend its ok for your kid to get close to me I have no problem with that if you are worried for he said daddy to me that's OK too he'll come to understand one day relax " but she couldn't
Thursday she was to attend a meeting at her son's school but because one of the worker from last week ask for the day it was only three of them that work there she didn't want to leave one person to do it all,she ask Kirkland to stay a while for her but he refuse the gift shop to go to  the meeting, Kerry didn't feel comfortable with it but she thank him she was uncomfortable the whole time every car pull up she look to see if he was getting out though she knew he drove a bright red convertible,
She was distracted from the door for she was busy with customers when the door ring her head came up look straight in to Jake Lambert's smiling face,she felt embarrassed for she had the feelings that Kirkland told him they were doing it, Kerry remember that morning April eighteenth almost six years ago when he came by the house to find Kirkland on her couch when he stood up all his body parts were hanging out the way he look at her then was the way he's looking now, he came up to her counter
"Hey there ms Kerry" he greet her.
"Jake" she said
"Why so dry,we're friends aren't we?" He ask
Kerry ignore what he said "how can I help you?" She ask him
With nothing for he wanted nothing Jake looked around "I wannnnnnt ,yeah" he said when he saw the nice big colourful scented candles "scented candles that's what I want how about you give me four of these big ones " he said walking to the candle shelf with Kerry behind him "I'll have two in green and two in blue he took them up put them to his nose " these smell great" he hand them to Kerry and gave her some money Kerry look at him and smile "boys" she said shook her head and walk to the cashier she bag them and hand the bag to him
"Thanks for shopping with us " Kerry told him
"Any time" he said nodding on his way out
Not longer after he was gone Kirkland came with kirky who came running to her she pick him up kiss his cheek then put him down
"I stop to get him something to eat"
"Thanks " she took his hand take him to the table for him to sit Kirkland sat with him and let her get back to work .
Kirky took awhile before going to bed when he finally did Kirkland put him in bed Kerry was finishing up in the kitchen when he came in put his arms around him but Kerry push him away turnaround and slapped him hard on the upper arm
"What?" Kirkland ask
"You told Jake " Kerry said
"What did I tell Jake?"
"That we have sex"
"Jake told you that?"
"He came to the shop and the way he was looking at me"
Kirkland make a face expression and smile "just because he looked at you then smile you figured it is because I told him we had sex"
"It was the same look he had the day of your wedding when " Kerry realize she was bringing up something she didn't want to talk about with kirkland. She stop talking and turn away but he caught her turning her back to face him
"You did say nothing happened that night Kerry he held her face up Kerry did something happen that night?"
"I told you
So how did I became naked on your couch, how did I get in?"
"I wonder too" she walk away from him he follow her up stairs stepping in the shower with her she let him make love to her but she just wasn't talking to him she turn her back to him he leave her the way she was beside that he was tired  come morning they got it restored.he drove kirky to school before going to the studio in the afternoon he stop by to see Rose bringing a few things for her took her walking and spend a little the talking to her on his way out he stop to see the lady his mom visit when she came he later went home to take a shower put his room together did some laundry sit with his mother a while
"How is the little boy " Hella ask
"He's alright"
"And his mother?"
"Alright too, I guess ,you put his picture here?" Kirkland ask looking at the full blown picture on the wall the one he took of Kerry's little boy playing with his car
"That's you honey " Hella said joining him.
"That can't be I took this picture"
"You were four then almost five I dress you in your most love red shirt and when you sat down to play with your toy I took it when I saw that picture of Kerry's child I saw you back in that stage once again,i stop believing that  nothing didn't happen between you and ms cassidy"
"Mom,not you too!"
"Can you blame me?"
Kirkland look at her " you know what mom I will see you in the morning and please for get this whole theory Kerry is my best friend "
"You trying to say up to this day you haven't slept with her?" Hella ask
"I love you mom"he kiss her and walk away
" I love you "Hella whispered to herself for Kirkland as already close the door behind him,she turn to look at the picture on the wall she heard his can drove out off on her way to her bed room but while laying in bed she heard the car came back when she check the time it was almost mid night
It was the hard pounding of the door that get her out of bed she was shock to see Marsha Simpson Melbourne the witch that his son marry and his trying to ruin his life
" Hella aren't you going to invite in?"
"Sorry " Hella said shifting from the door "please do come in she was load up with lots of bags and Lisa Willis had a company her
" Kirkland" ; Marsha called twice
"I'm afraid he's not home ms" ms parker said
"Mrs Melbourne for you ,don't cross the line ,show me to my husbands room"
"Yes mam!"ms parker said
" take up my bags" Marsha order ms parker and she did taking them to Kirkland's room
"Kirkland didn't tell me you were coming" Hella said
"He didn't know" Marsha said if you will allow me the chance to escape  to the privacy of my bed room thank you" Marsha said calling Lisa and they both went in to Kirkland's room closing the door
Hella shook her head apologize to ms parker she try to get to her son but after calling two times and got no answer she give up trying.
Kirkland was wrapped up in love he didn't care to get the phone he was sure what ever it is wasn't all that important as he was doing right now ,Kerry's hands and lips on his body was enough to block his mind from any thing the way he felt laying between her thigh he just didn't want to break the moment.
She was so tired to go the morning round even more tired to push him away when he climb between her legs entering her,she can't believe how tires she was and she is to go to st George's to see her mom,she's meeting Stacey at nine it was almost that time kirky was still a sleep Kirkland told her to go do what she has to he would see to him.they were both standing in his room when Kerry kiss him
"Happy birthday honey mommy love you", he  was sounded asleep he didn't hear her  "thanks she told him when she was going through the door but he pull her back for a quick kiss , "love you" he told her,
"I love you " Kerry said kissing him again this time her arms wrapped around his neck squeezing him as much as she could before running out, Kirkland sat on a chair in the boys bed room watching him sleep what his mom was saying to him came back to mind and for the few weeks he had become so attached to the boy and wish it work out that he was really his he rub his hand over his face and though he was half way asleep he said "daddy with a smile he wonder if he really looks like him or people was just saying that.
When he was a wake he gave him abath brush his teeth and dress him after he chose his clothes a red T-shirt and blue jeans
" now I look like you" he said giggling Kirkland smile he made him cereal for breakfast and half glass of grape juice,
Marsha was busy trying to find Kirkland while Lisa was busy going through his things she found his old camera and some picture's she sat on the bed and started going through the
"Huh? You're going to creek when you see this girlfriend" Lisa said holding up a naked photo of Kerry ,I'm going to kill that bitch for messing with my husband there was another with her on the beach and a few others
"Who is this?" Marsha ask seeing Kerry's mom on the photo
"Kerry mother Mrs cassidy she is in the nursing home for the age able "
"But she's not that old"
"She has gone completely nuts she's just staring in to blank space since her husband died "
Marsha was here when her husband died a year before she got married and went to live in new York  but she didn't know she fall in to that stage.
Around mid day Kirkland drove kirky to his house
"Mom" he called entering the house ,kirky ran from him and over to the picture on the wall telling Kirkland "that's me up there"
" I know"
" you're my daddy"
" i know that too.
"What's this ?" Marsha said coming out the room Kirkland wasn't surprised for Jake had warn him ,what surprise him was Lisa and she was coming from his bedroom. "Honey " Hella said coming out her room you came ?"
"Hey mom" he greet her by kissing her cheek
"You brought company too" she turned her attention to the little boy standing under the picture looking up at it she walk over to him ,"hello"Hella said
"Hi" kirky answer
"You like that ?" She ask "that's me with my car"
Hella look up at Kirkland then back to the boy
"Its his birthday today" Kirkland said
"Really! Hella said "happy birthday sweetie let me see what ms parker can fine for you in the kitchen" she took his hand and was leading him away .
"Nice picture" Lisa said "you took it right?"
Kirkland was about to soy yes and end it there but Hella overheard her ask,
That's Kirkland on that picture ,not the boy"she walk away leaving them with open mouth Lisa got closer but Marsha couldn't force herself to move
Kirkland was walking away "Kirkland ,I want to talk to you" Marsha snapped
"Not now I'm busy"
"Babysitting?"
Kirkland ignore her but she walk ahead of him and block the door." Now Kirkland now
Kirkland ease her away and went in side the room Marsha's things were every where he had to step over them to get to his closest
"Where you going?"marshe ask but he didn't answer his cellphone rang he quickly answer Marsha heard him saying that he was fine he's with my mother now ,OK see you there then hang up she didn't have to ask if that was Kerry
" was that your bitch asking about her bastard son"
He went around her doing what he Was doing pushing away some of her things to lay his clothes on the bed clean apair of shoe get a clean pair of stock from the minute  he enter the top drawer he could tell it was gone into,he look at his wife to find her watching him he did nothing but to close the drawer he was on his way out to check on the little boy
he turn to Marsha you need to get rid of these drunks and have my room back to the way it was when you came she was more than angry that she tost her shoe at him it fall right next to him he stop to look at it kick it aside then walk away with a turn of the head.
