Isn't the bus fun?

Phil's POV

With a relieved sigh, Phil collapsed onto a seat on the bus, his flower crown lopsided on his head.

Taking deep breaths, he reminded himself that he should probably begin actually exercising on a daily basis. But then again...effort.

Phil closed his eyes, breathing in through his nose, and out through his mouth, trying to do the useless breathing technique that his teacher when he was twelve tried to teach him.

All of a sudden, Phil felt the seat next to him sink down slightly, as another person joined him. Opening his eyes, he glanced at the other person, a bright smile on his face.

"Hi! I'm Phil. How're you today?" He said cheerfully, hoping to make a new friend. The person sitting next to him was a boy, around Phil's age, with lovely brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a My Chemical Romance shirt and black jeans.

"Hey. I'm Dan, and I'm regretting sitting here. How're you?" They boy, seemingly called Dan, said rolling his eyes at Phil. Phil hid the hurt on his face, he wasn't expecting such a harsh response from this random boy on his bus, dressed all in black, and looking antisocial.

Maybe he should've expected it.

"Um...I'm good! Thanks for asking..." Phil trailed off at the end of his words, unsure as to how he should continue. Dan rolled his eyes at Phil's response, and checked his phone for the time.

"Soooooo......what's your favourite subject?" Phil asked awkwardly, trying to keep some sort of conversation going. Nervously, Phil flattened down his fringe and straightening his flower crown.

"Art." Dan said, exasperation clear in his voice. Phil nodded, humming to himself, he wasn't sure how to approach this conversation anymore. "Look, will you just leave me alone?" Dan exclaimed after an awkward silence. "Just...shut up and talk to the people in front or something."

Phil looked away from Dan, surprised and downhearted. Dan shoved his headphones back over his ears, and glared out the window opposite them.

Phil smiled sadly, and took out his phone, deciding that if he couldn't make friends with people around him in real life, he could at least talk to some of his acquaintances on Tumblr.

Logging in as philisamazing, he immediately went to his friend PJ's blog. Smiling, Phil asked anonymous questions to his friend, knowing that it would annoy PJ. Not that PJ didn't like getting asks.

He just hated it when Phil filled up his inbox with countless questions about potatoes.

Settling back into his seat, Phil scrolled down through Tumblr, glancing at Dan every so often.
