Dans POV
The teacher walked through the door. She was smiling, despite the fact that she had just heard Dan scream at another student. She had long dark hair and she was wearing a cool Harry Potter t-shirt. Dan glanced down at Phil, who was gathing his things and sitting back down. He was smiling at Dan. Why was he smiling? Dan had just screamed at him and he was smiling. What a strange child. The teacher spoke. "Hello class!" She chirped. "So, let's learn about the past and all the old people that come with it!" Phil giggled at her words. Dan rolled his eyes and glared at Phil. He turned around, a bright smile on his face. Dan glared harder, Phil awkwardly turned away, realising he was unwanted.
The teacher started talking about the past and some other things. Dan didn't really know what she was talking about, he was too busy staring at the posters on the walls. Soon enough, the bell rang and the class was dismissed. Dan hurriedly packed up his stuff, wanting to leave the room before the teacher could say anything, but as he stood up, the teacher was in front of him. "Hi! You're Dan aren't you?" She said happily. Dan couldn't understand. He was in trouble, why was she so happy? Phil was still beside him, he was packing up slowly but the teacher gave him a look and he quickly left the room. "Yeah." Dan said a little too harshly. "I heard what you said earlier to the strange pastel unicorn. It wasn't very nice. If you could tell him sorry next time you see him, that'll be grand and we'll just forget about this whole thing, okay?" She smiled. "Um yeah okay." Dan said confused. "Okay then, off you go!"
Dan left the room in extreme shock. 'She's one weird person' he thought. As he walked down the little ramp that led up to the classroom door, he noticed Phil. Phil came over smiling. "For fucks sake." Dan muttered to himself. "Hi!" Phil said excitedly. "Can you please leave me alone, I don't want to talk to anybody right now?" Dan said spitefully. He walked faster, but Phil caught up. "C'mon Dan!" He whined. "Right, what will make you go away?" Dan spat angrily. A smile came across Phils face that brightened it up, it was almost a twisted smile. "Well... How about you be my friend for one whole day?" He said. Dan sighed. He agreed, only because he knew it would get rid of Phil.
They walked to their next class together, maths. Phil talked and talked and talked. He just wouldn't shut up. Dan couldn't help but smile though, Phil seemed to be so passionate about some things. Phil noticed him smiling to himself. "Hey! You're smiling! I didn't know you could smile!" Dan laughed, "I don't do it often, but yes I am capable of showing emotion." Phil smiled, and then continued talking. They got to their class and walked in together.
